Such a nice implementation of the theme, i like the idea of augmented reality! Good work!
By the way, these weird noises are so creepy xD
Very, very neat. This bad boy (in a good way), has a fully fleshed out story with interesting gameplay elements and voice acting. I do wish that we started with more battery life but the same can be said about my phone in real life :)
Great work and interesting game!
Very cleverly done - a cool way to introduce another dimension. Nice job!
Really cool idea using the phone for other dimensions. I can see the potential there.
Very interesting mechanics! Good music, sounds and really fun game! Thank you!
I like the game, I only made it to the second area. I struggled at first to understand the concept of it at first but then quickly caught on. overall like the sounds and music and story. Nice job!
Great job overall. This is a very polished submission. Visually and audibly everything fits together very well. The gameplay mechanics are simple yet I did not feel I was missing anything. There was one tiny, and I mean really tiny thing that I noticed. When taking pictures of some of the animals I was a bit confused on how much of the cell phone screen the animal needs to take up for it to register. For some of the smaller animals I had to be really close, so that the animal would fill up the center box on the camera screen. Then in other cases, particularly the squid at the end I had to be a distance where the entire animal would not show up in the frame of the camera. I tried taking a picture of the squid from a distance so he would fill the center box but it would not register. This did not disrupt my experience at all.
Great work overall through from top to bottom. An impressive amount to detail in such a short time frame!!!
Thank you so much. Kind comments like yours motivate us to keep developing games.
We didn't find the correct balance for some picture issues. There were so many variables like being close, far, monsters being big, small. We should have added some signal that monsters were correctly targeted so the player didn't lose so much time trying to take pictures. Maybe in a near future we will apply those adjustments.
Thanks for reaching the end and saving Barry!
It's a trial and error game that pushes you to improve your efficiency traveling in the map. It took me some tries to understand some animals unlock new areas (didn't see any indicador before taking them pictures and they all look similar). And some other tries to remember which ones do unlock areas and which ones don't. After that it was a matter of remembering where are the good animals to advance fast and save battery. Loved the concept of the camera showing the true nature of the animals! Also the art in cutscenes, the flavor in the voice comments, and the general atmosphere of suspense. Impressive work for a short jam period!
I loved the way you guys applied the theme. the camera mechanic is so good. At the beginning ı didint really understand what ı had to do. I didnt even knew how to open the camera(looked at the controls for that). after taking picture of everything in the playground no new way opened. But that is probably because i missed some animals . It was quite a fun game.
This is a great take! I loved the cutscene, and the QR code at the start is a cool introduction to the mechanic. I tried to play with a gamepad first but the right stick sensitivity was too high. Other than that I wished there was some feedback when getting close to a "monster" as it gets hard to find them later on. A notification sound or your phone vibrating would go perfectly with the app. Oh and I almost forgot, the game doesn't load automatically after the cutscene ends.
