I love the design choices for this tower defense. And you chose great assets to go with your work. I like the idea of having to manage multiple sub-areas. It looks quite polished.

The tower placing itself would feel more natural (in my opinion) with clicking on the spot for the tower, it being highlighted and then showing the tower options with the prices that with a click put it on the already selected locationn. I imagine you were stressed by time with implementing mechanics for these things though! It's quite the ambitious game for the scope of this game jam but you did absolutely great!

Thanks for playing Eva!  I'm a fan of your work.  I had a "bare minimum list" and a "nice to have list," and upgrading towers and being able to view the battle from specific towers vantage points and other things were on the latter list. You bring up an excellent point of a different way of building the towers.  I was trying to model it after Bloons (flash game from 2000's), but also didn't want to take up too much of the screen.  I will keep that workflow in mind if I do visit another tower defense game like this one in the future.

You flatter me. And yeah, definitely good to separate features into different priorities (especially in a jam), it just easily gets too much if not setting the main focus on the gameloop essential features and possibly the polish of the hook. Learnings and new ideas are the best about doing jams, so I wish you the best of fun success with upcoming game jams!

I think it's a unique perspective and angle of the mechanic. Some small things I noticed is that I think the intro is very well done and it's nice to watch, but after watching it multiple times, it can get repetitive since it's very long and should be able to be skipped with a button or something. It's also not too easy to restart the game easier, unless I missed it, so it's necessary to restart the game and also see that intro again. I think you did a great job on the game though, it's unique in its management aspects of the zones and the unique perspective for the defense. Nice job!

Thanks for playing!  As far as the intro is concerned, if you die or beat the game, there is a retry button.  The retry doesn't repeat the intro.  I hadn't planned on people refreshing the page after going to it initially.  My original intent was to have the option to skip the intro but we ran out of time and I didn't want people to accidentally skip it and not know there was an intro.  I also wanted to have a menu for the music/sound effects and upgradable towers, but ran into a few hiccups along the way and didn't get to finish everything.

Yeah it's fine, don't worry I didn't consider it at all in my rating. If I suspect I may have missed it I don't count it. I may also double check the rating I put for your game right now in case.
