I liked the game idea but I always ended up stucked in the middle of the cherries without any ability to move and nothing do do. I also have flying archers. You've got a good base to improve on, keep up the good work :)

I loved the game, especially the idea and the art! I bet you put lots of effort into it. Great work!

I really liked the design and the art in this game! I enjoyed running around and seeing the tartans fight the monsters, as well as building up the castle gates. I think that a bit more visual feedback would be good, as initially I was very confused about what was actually happening in terms of training units/building things, since it wasn’t super clear my actions were causing things to happen.

I also think that the night is maybe too dark, which I know is an odd comment, but it makes it hard to make things out at all, and since you have very nice art in this game that’s a bit of a shame! I think maybe having darkness maybe outside the castle and some lights in the castle could work if you are going for atmosphere with the darkness.

Well done!

Wow very impressive game and fun to play! I haven't played Kingdom which I see a few other reviewers mentioning so this was the first of this type of game I played, and I really enjoyed it! The balance of the different resources and how to use them took a little bit of time to figure out but once I did it was very intuitive how to train and upgrade troops and walls. If I had read the side banners more carefully, I would have learned much quicker that I could only get Wheat outside and then needed to deposit in the bakery. I see you are planning to continue to develop this which I think is a great idea! Oh and the visuals were super cute and appealing :)

Wow! I really like Kingdom and I'm impressed how close to that sort of experience you made in the time limit.

The intro song is amazing. I also like that your game page includes the controls and explanation on how to play in the side banners, where it's visible while playing without taking up visual real estate within the game itself. The Day/Night cycle was also a great addition.

I think that, if I hadn't ever played Kingdom, I would have been very lost about what I was supposed to do and how. Even with that experience, it would have been nice to show some indicator of which buildings needed what resources.

I only saw a single pumpkin enemy in the time I played (who sadly didn't drop any delicious filling) and the rest of the time it was an endless assault of cherries, but I had nothing to use their resources on once both sides of the castle were fortified. (One side got destroyed fairly early, but couldn't be fixed with anything I had.)

I get the feeling that the player is supposed to drop dough when they get hit, and running out of it all would result in a game over, but for me there was no consequences to being stabbed by a cherry's spear other than that I couldn't go further in the direction it was coming from.

First, Thank you so much for playing and leaving such detailed feedback!! Secondly, I'm so excited that although our time to work on it was limited we were able to create an experience that so many people recognized and were able to find enjoyable.

Your cries for more visual feedback are totally valid and were definitely planned but unfortunately I wasn't able to implement everything in time. We will be polishing this post jam to make this match with our vision, which would be some bug fixes, the Blueberrion enemy, the Tartillery tower, as well as a ton of sounds, artwork, and a UX overhaul.
