Beautiful art! I had fun trying out the different dental tools and what hygiene problems they could alleviate. I would love to see more from this developer!

Wow this game really motivated me to work on my projectile motion calculations so that I could hit the targets. Great game!

I'm going to have to try playing with power metal on and see if I can improve my score 😄

Ghosts is totally fine 👻 one fellow game jammer referred to them as "puffballs of death" so they can be called whatever you want as long as you're having fun 😊

Wow thank you so much Bearshaman! It's an honor to be featured in your video.

That was so cool hearing about you and your brother competing for the high score. Somebody cracked the top 10 of the leaderboard in the recording I saw!

It was great interacting with you crazyhound, you were always a positive influence! I liked how you tried to rate games that weren't getting too many ratings because I felt like everyone who submitted a game with effort deserved recognition and the way the rating period works it's impossible to do so. I tried to follow your lead and I hope the ratings and feedback I left on games that had single digit ratings made those developers feel seen!

So many fun game submissions I got to play the past few days! Thank you everyone for creating this amazing community and hope to see everyone back next time :)

Ahh I did not notice about the toilet seats and beds, but I'll look for that on my next playthrough! I do agree that many of the details go unnoticed or disregarded but I think the sum of them does make into players' subconscious and overall enhances their gameplay experience whether they are aware of it not. Keep up your style of including the details!

This was a very atmospheric experience well done! The music set a tense mood and the intro with the first friendly coming to meet you sucked me into the story straight away. The sound effects were top notch and kept me listening closely for the claw scratching of the dustlings. Having a band of followers was a cool gameplay mechanic and provided the motivation to explore all the other floors and rooms as I made my way to the top.

Great game!

This might be the most adorable survival shooter game I have played haha. Wow all the visuals were super cute and fit together in a cohesive style. The horse-riding movement with the jump felt great I especially liked traversing over the rock formations to get the higher ground on some raging cows. I had difficulty converting the last few cows because the happy white ones were running to give me a hug and they blocked the mad ones from receiving my love.

Great game had a smile on my face while playing it!

This was a fun survival game! Moving the player soldier and shooting felt really nice for the controls. I would say adding a sweet epic music track and some sound effects for the bullets and the enemies taking damage/dying would enhance the overall game. A really solid base game play loop you have though!

Wow that's really exciting Abdo! Can't wait to play v 1.1 !

Haha yes Last Stand wasn't the most conducive theme for that ;)

Thanks for playing remarkable! I really enjoyed your game with in-game code editor.

(1 edit)

Thanks for playing samu and 217 is a great score! Thank you for the feedback about the turret spots we'll look to adjust those post jam. I enjoyed swinging my samurai sword like a shogun in defending Benkei Bridge!

Very cool fighting game! The variety of the three characters was a great way to change up the experience. I saw you have PvP coming soon which would be really fun I imagine. I also liked the "night mode" where you get to control all 3 against the horde of food stand zombies haha.

Great work!

This was so fun, cute yet challenging game! It took me a while to figure out I could start chucking ingredients to get what I needed but once I figured that out, I was throwing food out like Gordon Ramsey in a kitchen of amateur chefs. I was a little disturbed by the customer that only ordered a piece of lettuce....;)

Loved the art style it fit the vibe of the game and the sandwich making controls were really fun once I got the hang of it. Great submission!

Thanks so much that is super encouraging for us to hear! Definitely hope to see you in future jams!

I think the flying around decision was definitely the right choice for your game!

Yes we are! Andrew and I (Eric) are twin brothers and we both do programming and art (although my brother is wayyyy better at art than me) and Brian is our youngest brother who is really into music and luckily for us to make games also sound effects. Brian went on a work trip right as the game jam ended so he hasn't been able to post in the forums much but he's looking forward to trying all the games Andrew and I have found while he's been gone including Music Stand!

That sounds really exciting! Ok we will definitely keep you posted! It would be awesome to try one of those jams that focuses on visual novels.

Very interesting take on the theme, I like it! My first 3 tries I was really bad and was dying to the first group of samurais but then I started swinging my sword wildly and to my delight that was much more effective at holding the enemies back haha. I saw on your game page you mentioned this was your first foray into inverse kinematics. Good for you as I've still been too intimated to try to understand that. The low poly art style fit the game well.

Great work!

Thanks Putti! My youngest brother who did the music and sound effects for our game especially appreciated the theme of your Music Stand game.

Thank you Teharra! Actually, after playing your Witch's Grasp game my brothers and I were contemplating something like that for our next jam if we can fit the theme. Really inspiring work!

Oh my gosh so many memories playing this game! It felt like Prince of Persia jumping over the spike traps, King's Quest 3 and 4 with the amazing pixel art and such rich characters conveyed through that medium, and then finally some good ole Castlevania jumping around trying to take down big baddies.

The soundtrack was super cool when the second track hit after I defeated Da Goblin Boss I was bobbing my head like yeah this is it haha.

Great submission!

Cool little pirate game! I liked the map that you expand to see the whole area that you were sailing. The controls felt pretty nice as far as sailing a ship, but I was a bit confused about the firing mechanic. I was struggling to tell if my cannon shots were hitting the enemy ships attacking me (maybe I was just missing all my shots because I'm bad at shooting in your game haha). But overall it's a great project and I saw you developed it in Scratch which really blows my mind because I didn't realize it could be used to make a game like this!

Thank you so much Mayra! The desperation when reloading bullets was nothing next to the desperation I felt when I butchered some two digits subtractions and was facing a resulting multiplication with a zombie about to take a bite out of me;) I really enjoyed Night of Living Maths!

Very cheeky entry! I loved the humor and the slang for the mission descriptions. The power ups were fun to try out with the RC plane and the visuals were very pleasing. Impressive submission!

I had a blast playing your game! You included some very nice pieces of polish to help me understand the game and what I was supposed to do easily. For example, I like the green bar for my sprint meter. I've played many games where there is no visual indication of the sprint meter running out it just kind of does and that is nice to be able to plan around it with the visual cue. I really liked the music! Perfect for a last stand. This game really tests my kiting abilities it was great!

That's awesome! I look forward to your update on this and your future projects.

This was a very fun tank battler! I like how you kept the movement crisp and fast on the tank because although a slower plodding movement is more tank like it wouldn't be as fun (in my opinion). The enemy death explosion VFX holy cow! When I killed my first enemy tank, I thought I had triggered some crazy rocket spewing boss unit. It turned out having a huge radius on the death explosion was really helpful when I would get the rapid-fire power up and start spraying in the direction of red and orange dots on my mini map. I would see the shards of the kill and hear it (excellent sound effects throughout the game I should also mention) way before I could see the enemy in my view which was satisfying.

Great game!

Awesome look forward to seeing you develop it!

I particularly enjoy horror games, so this was a real treat to find in the submissions :D I loved running from the angel of death and the jump scare when it grinds your bones to dust was terrifying! I saw in your game page that you created all the visuals yourself which is amazing given the timeframe of the jam. I really liked the retro feel of them and the blurred overall atmosphere made the game feel eerie.

Really nice work!

Wow very impressive and fun tower defense game! The visuals were lovely and conveyed the idea of my friendly units (tower, collectors, walls) really effectively and I liked the enemy models as well. The ability to build walls allowed me to feel strategic and it felt great rerouting a huge line of enemies with them.

Fantastic game!

Thank you sairamyadla! I really enjoyed Duck Defense.

Including a difficulty adjustment setting has been a common request and we are looking to add that in post jam. We appreciate your feedback!

Thanks so much for the kind words Rasblo! I showed my brothers Turtle Trouble and they both really enjoyed it as well :)

Thank you Sminthophilia! Thanks also for sharing more about the real-life inspiration for your game's main character. Those videos are so cute >_<

Wow one of the most unique visuals of all the games I've played in the submission. I absolutely loved the quirky aesthetics especially in the second room it felt very Tim Burtonesque. The voice acting was really impressive and helped with such a story driven game. Great experience!

Fun tower defender game! The music backing track was really lovely to listen to. I liked when the units started getting more challenging like the orange guys that moved faster and took more hits to take out. As some reviewers already mentioned, it would be nice for the intensity of wave 21 to start earlier but I see how mentioned adding a wave timer adjustment in a later version. Also, with the screen ratio it looks like this could be a mobile game eventually? I think it would be really fun to play on mobile if you add upgrades.

Great work!

Fun space shooter game! The movement felt very fitting for a space operating in outer space and I had to be quite precise with when I hit the thrusters. It made it challenging but fun sort of like a Lunar Landing meets Vampire Survivors type mashup. Sound effects were satisfying, and music track was pleasant to have in the background while attempting to save Earth.

Great work!

Fun stealth style game! I liked dashing around dodging the elves and picking up loots like a real greedy goblin :D Some sound effects plus music will really polish up the overall experience but this was great fun regardless.
