Nice story. I will have to agree, that acceleration took forever, and also to change direction although somewhat realistic.
But you already know that anyway :-)
Thank you for playing and reviewing. Consensus feedback, gotta love it! :)
Hilarious narrative about m******* d** and thus not getting poisoned (yes i read itch.io pages).
Tried out controls, ended up taking a pot shot at earth and got a shock when its HP dropped haha.
Great idea to put the key objectives on the main screen, easy to grasp.
Only issue was with the controls. Im not sure if its just me, but acceleration to move forward took forever, even considering the sluggishness expected from traveling in space. Movement progress was also easily cancelled out by getting hit by lasers, so a QOL improvement might be to tune down the knockback. There was also some visual bug with the shot projectiles rotating on its axis, but that's minor.
Good fun!
Thank you for playing and reviewing. Great feedback which I'll definitely take :)
Nice play, liked it. Shoot frequency a bit too low for my taste, but maybe I am just clumsy. Hard to hit the aliens :-)
I completely agree. Im not happy how the movement turned out. Aiming and picking up bonuses is too hard. Shoot frequency can be increased with bonuses, but you gotta kills some aliens first, lol
I thought the idea was cool but I wasn't in love with the controls. It felt really sluggish and everytime I got hit it would just push me further away from the upgrades. I would've liked if it was a bit more responsive. But I thought the game looked good and maybe if the bullets didn't add a force to you that would've been ok too. But the bullets pushing you back were a big drawback for me. But good submission overall :)
I totally agree. My first thought was to be like the thrust game, but then I even had difficulty picking up the bonuses. After the jam I plan on removing velocity and force from the game! Thank you for reviewing the game!
