Interesting mechanic with the dragging, and power to the shields and lasers. Overall, an interesting, unique game; nice job!

This is such an ambitious game. Like some of the others who have left comments, I felt a little overwhelmed by the complexity of the controls and confused by the UI. I did start to get the hang of it, but if you keep working on it later I think a guided tutorial would be invaluable. (Because I was also a little confused at first as to what my priorities should be and why, too much going on at once for a beginner.) I actually rally loved the retro vector art though, I hope you keep that. Really great beginning!

Definitively! Thanks a lot for the feedback. The idea of the game is much more complex that what I tried here. I hope I will get the time to make the full game.

Next jam I will try something much simpler :D

Pretty cool

Hey overall great game but could use some tweaks and adjustments, I played it on my youtube and you can check it out with my feedback and thoughts if you want here

Thank you so much for playing it! I completely forgot to mention about the keys 1, 2, 3 to divert the power to engine, lasers and shields. There are on the screen but I notice they are not perceived as keys. I should had put it in the messages that appear too. Too much rush!

If you dont turn at the beginning you reach an area (yes, the yellow point in the minimap) that has pieces to enchance the ship. There are lots of bugs that I will fix after jam.

I like your suggestion of putting and indicator on the main screen rather than the minimap. It will be done!

Nice, overall great start to a game and I love those kinds of space games like that. There was a previous game jam one I really got hooked on. I will follow you to keep an eye out if you put out new versions later to try.

Controls are fairly complex, but mechanics are great. UI scaling would be good, need to play on fullscreen otherwise. Well done.

Developer

Agree!

I never thought of UI scaling. I will think how to make UI less prominent.

Controls are kind of hard to learn, but once you get going, the game is fun to play! One suggestion is to make the UI smaller and the controls a little easier, but good job!

Developer

I felt the same with the controls, but did not come out with anything better. I forgot the main keys: 1, 2, 3, to put full power in engines, lasers and shields. So basically the game is cursors, space and 1, 2, 3. Under a heavy attack you may use "s" (as in shields) to toggle the shields.

Thank you a lot for playing!

I might actually be too dumb to play this game. Would be nice to have controls on the screen itself but overall game seems super cool

Thank you for giving it a try! I found some people do not see the play button. If it was your case I am sorry for that. Did not have time to work on the visuals. I did wanted to put controls and letters on the screen as you suggest, but again, no time.
