Really cool idea for a game! I think the idea is great, and I'm excited to see where this goes. Cool mechanics for a fun little themed stealth game. I think the controls and view would benefit a bit if perhaps the mouse sensitivity could be turned down and the view pulled back a little from the bowling ball. Good stuff!
Nice work so far, I enjoyed it! I noticed the humans visibility is limited to their light, so you can sit at their feet (and even push them around) and not get caught. Being able to push chairs is nice, I think it'd be cool to see them taller with the ability to roll under and through their legs. Not sure if it's just me, but when entering full screen mode, I noticed the UI at the top (excluding the bowling pin image) is half-way off the top of the screen. I also got some very strange flickering visual bug thing during the level failed screen. It seems like the black background isn't covering the screen entirely. In full screen mode it happens on the sides of the screen (I'm guessing because I'm using a 2560x1080 monitor), and in the normal in-browser mode it happens on the top and bottom of the level failed screen. I also often experienced very low framerates unfortunately, and noticed the camera collision update frequency is very noticeable, especially when pointing the camera straight up to be under the player. I also experienced some weird instances where colliding the camera with a wall temporarily removes the player's front light source. Lastly, I think some level spawning transitions would go a long way, as it can feel pretty jarring when dropped into a new level in addition to the music starting over. I look forward to seeing where you take the game!
Thank you very much for your detailed notes on my game! I honestly appreciate the good feedback and will definitely look into these issues and try to fix them once the jam is over. I did notice a few issues with the ui myself when in browser, probably due to my anchors and scaling. Wasn't 100 percent sure where that frame rate slowdown was coming from, so thank you for pointing that out also. Thank you for playing, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Really nice work! The stealth mechanics were very forgiving and occasionally it looked like the ai got stuck, but overall this is a really nice game. Great work on the tutorial and excellent choice of music!
Really nice game, the idea of knocking down the pins and not being spotted by the bowlers was well done and there were even quite a lot of visual aesthetics in there in 3d immersive experience that worked quite well for this game. The controls and mechanics were working well and smoothly and I liked the balanced amount of difficulty in the game. Nice job on it!
Loved the game. Simple and fun! Stealth with a bowling bowl is a pretty unique idea. Great Job!
the font you chose was perfect for a bowling theme! congrats on submitting a game!
Very interesting, think this is the only one I have seen so far that has a stealth game mechanic to fit the theme. Nice entry.
It's a really nice game. It feels like a mixture of Pac-Man and Crazy Taxi with its arcade style. I encountered a bug where the game would not register the pins falling down because they were placed too close to a wall. Knocking them would make them lean against a wall, and sometimes it isn't visibly against the wall. I think there should be a higher threshold. Also, a way to change sensitivity would be nice because I felt it was too high. Still, it was fun playing.
:D
Nice music.
When you fall, the ball feels more like floating than felling, but it's ok.
Nice game. Finished the 3 levels
The music is so catchy and the gameplay loop feels good. The difficulty does pick up but you get used to it pretty quickly.
That was excellent!
All the bowling submissions I've played so far have had some of the best music and sound and yours has kept that tradition alive! well done
Gameplay was compelling, challenging yet fair and I was able to get up and running with it very quickly.
Excellent entry and very impressed with the fact that you were able to do all this solo!
Nice job!
Good Job!
This is probably how iRobot Roomba cleans.
I was playing from Roomba's point of view. Humans are in the way!
A great take on the theme backed up by a really well made little game! Well done to the lead developer, level developer, programmer, UI designer and the game flow designer ;-)
