Yeah... I don't get this game.
So it's a mix of an idle game and a speedrun game. But the game doesn't tell you anything to do, you just move your cursor and press X on everything. And then you win ? What ?
yep thats the gist of it, the more I think about it its more of a POC than a game.
I completed it in 1:25, but time felt like slower in the game than in real world, not sure if something related with fps. It is awesome you did the game in your own programming language. There is not a lot to do in the game or I didn't really understand what was the outcome of leveling up a lower module but I just did it and maybe I was faster.
Yea the time issue was mostly an issue with the implementation of my language I was using, I was too lazy to implement a == operator so I had to do != twice lol. but yea in general I wish I made a trial game before the jam to get things working better and to get more used to the language.
Got it in around 1:40. My finger is tired now xD
i managed to get to the top but i'll confess, i just spammed z while going up and down the stalk
I matched your time! Cool game :D
I like the idea of a clicker game on the Gameboy definitely a very unique idea. I do wish it was more clear what the strategy was it felt like I was just upgrading the top until I won and not sure if upgrading other parts did anything? as far as I can tell there is no audio so I assume I wont be judging on that, great game tho! :D
I think everything you upgrade makes the points to increase faster, so you need to figure when to invest in height and when in production.
I played twice. I think I got a time of around 1:50, though it doesn't show my time on the WIN screen :(
It did take me a minute to figure out what I was doing, but it's pretty simple to understand once you realize what numbers mean what on the side. Cool little game! I've never heard of Slam before, either.
