I really like the unique look of this. Everything is so bubbly. Controls and everything feels really solid and the music and sound are nice. I think you have the start of a good little game here!
This game has a fantastic feel to it. Sound design is great, movement feels good, shooting feels good, flying around feels good, too bad I never managed to find another planet! It was a bit frustrating to keep retrying and "oops, nothing there" So far I played 50+ games from this jam, I'm certain this one would be my number one if there was a bit more to explore! Great entry anyway, good job!
Your game has a nice gameboy-y feel! I like the music, feels like i'm a space explorer.
I did get lost in space a lot, and woulda loved a way to find my way back or to another planet.
And maybe more variety in enemies and such, but that's not really important for the scope of a Jam game.
Cute li'l game :)
Thanks. Some way of navigating space is definitely required! I liked the 'hotter/colder' system you had in your game.
I would have loved this as a real Gameboy game. Simple and effective with an arcade feel! I could have used a little more direction in space, but otherwise very clean
Clear visual presentation (not always easy with 4 colors, especially when they all have the same chroma). Catchy music and sound effects that do the job.
I really like the alternating gameplay loops (navigating through space to collect diamonds, landing to collect fuel). I think this is a solid base which could benefit from more variety (e.g., different enemies, obstacles and challenges on the planets).
