How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
The game has a resolution of 160x144 pixels, just like the old Gameboy.
It uses only four colors to maintain a retro aesthetic.
The spooky atmosphere fits the Game Jam's theme of "Spooky," as the game takes place in a haunted graveyard filled with monsters and puzzles.

Hi.Thanks for the feedback, you're right, the hitboxes are a bit small, and I don't have a sprite for a hit. Thank you for playing.
Once I read the tutorial I was ready to go. The bell warning also helped quite a bit! The only item I'd say needs some tightening up would be the combat as I wasn't sure when I was actually hitting the bats. Great puzzle game!
The gameplay is pretty solid and really enjoyable, i'd just invest some more time in putting gameplay tutorials in-game, i really liked the idea and the execution, yet only after i knew how to play by taking a look in the homepage of the project, yet after that i really enjoyed the game! Hope to see more of your's project in the next jam!
(the ringbell mechanic is great tho)

Once I worked out that pausing the game revealed the pattern you needed to dig around the key, I was flying!
Quite addictive - it's fun digging for what you need and fighting off enemies.

I like the artstyle and the music and the concept is very fun but a little unclear how to play at first, maybe a little more description or tuturial at the start would help
Unfortunately, the AppImage doesn't work without the correct dependencies (based on Ubuntu 24.04).
