Cool concept! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the GBJam 5 games, if you'd like to take a look :)

This is a great idea and feels like an old GB game would. I like the idea of the day/night cycle, but it ends up making the game harder to see. None of the minigames were much fun except maybe the wood chopping job.

Really cool entry. The town is a lovely place, and I like how many of the chores you do to get money use your knowledge of its streets and passages. The palette is a little dark but pretty. Oh, and the wood chopping mini game is really fun! Congratulations :

Great game! Interesting plot, beatiful arrwork and catchy music. I encourage you to keep working on it.

It's BEAUTIFUL and the music is lovely too! The dynamic lights seem to go a bit crazy sometimes and it breaks a bit the look, dunno if that's intended.

Visually this was great: you really nailed the GB aesthetic with the sprites, and the dynamic lighting was very nice. The size of the town is pretty impressive too!

Unfortunately I found the minigames to be kind of bland, and didn't feel motivated to actually try and make enough money to buy stuff. The log-cutting one was kind of fun, but the others just felt like timewasters.
