Lovely graphics, fun game! I included it in my compilation video series of all of the GBJam 5 games, if you'd like to take a look :)

Amazingly clever battle system, I'd love to see this being used in a JRPG (I secretly hope that's your intention for the future!) The palettes are cool and original. Rumble Road has tons of potential! :)

Also the Halloween Palette is amazing.

I saw the screenshots of this on Twitter and knew I'd love it. I'm not a huge fan of JRPGs, but I'm facinated by attempts to reduce them down to their base elements, and this is about as good a job at that as I've ever seen.

Good job! Loved the battle system and it was a nice touch having every character do something else.
Would've been nice if the music switched eventually but a solid entry noenthels!

Great game! You nailed the early RPG battle system and all three characters felt unique in their designated fields. The music got a little repetitive after a few battles. Animations looked great and the screen flashes and screen shake on impacted hits really added to the game feel. Overall you did a great job. One of my favorite games this jam.

The characters and abilities are pretty well balanced. Overall a very neat game! Great submission

Love the eye-sear palette just on the right side of not being blinding and looking great. Love the sprites and fun JRPG style battling. Great work!

Very well designed gameplay, pretty graphics, and perfect gameboy feel! There's a lot of strategy behind the small number of skills. I wish there was an option to slow down the combat dialogue though -- it was hard to figure out what the enemies were doing and determine which attacks were most effective. I also think showing the order of execution clearly would make strategizing more enjoyable. Overall really great though!

The different characters' skills felt well-balanced, and I especially liked the free SP-drain for the mage character.

Turn-based combat always hooks me up and this one is balanced very well, which is hard to accomplish and asks for many iterations.. really made me think on my choices. Great work!

Nice turn based combat. I especially like how you have to manage SP by stealing it from enemies and defending / inspiring your characters. Would have been nice to level up and learn new moves to keep the game from becoming repetitive.

Fantastic submission :) I really appreciate the large variety of available palettes, and the combat was really tough!

When my wizard died, and he came back in the next round, the order in which I could target my allies had changed; wizard became third instead of second.

Awesome use of colors!
