Sweet game! The first thing I noticed was it has a lot of charm and character! The color palette is very nice and refreshing! The gameplay is really solid but it is incomplete in a few places. I am not sure where you plan to take this but it would be great to have upgrades when you fill up the level-up bar. It wasn't clear to me you could go behind building at first but I think that is a nice touch! The bat didn't really do a lot of damage and once you ran out of bullets there was no way to get more. It took me a while to notice the EXP bar and when I filled it up it just kept going haha. I would have also liked some music! You have a great start here and I hope you will keep anding to it!

Fun top down action game. Is it possible to take damage in this version? I was crowded but kept fighting through it
Fun little game :D
I saw someone mention Death Road to Canada and I have to very much agree, hehe ^^
Game has a fun gameplay loop, smaking some people. But I saw that you also struggle with performance when there's alot of enemies on screen and go behind a wall...
We had the exact same issue, aswell as the walking into each other, heheh :D
But since I wont take this into aspect, I can say: Well done, my friend ^^
This game is really cool! The characters and art style really remind me of Death Road to Canada!
I don't think I understood the premise of the game but the core mechanics are there, I think you should work on the hit feedback and the sounds. Really like the art style and the fake game cover though!
I know how it feels to not have been able to finish the project, I'll give feedback where I can though. The premise is a little...odd? It seems like you're just murdering drunk people? Or is your character the drunk one?
Anyways, SpriteShake can be a real handy extension for game feel. Making the characters shake when you hit them, along side the blood that is being spawned, can add much more of an impact to your swings. This and using tween to shrink/grow the sprite quickly.
I also wish I knew what the bar on the right does.
Lots of game feel in the menus. The player in the main game is pretty floaty, raise the deceleration by 800 so the controls feel more percise. The game itself is ok, enemies require 3-5 hits each to kill with the melee. The options and music player doesn't do anything yet. The gun is fun. Everything uses the same sound effect at max volume which isn't that good. I feel like you have an excellent base to expand upon in the future and you should expand on it, since some of the game feel is already there, but you have to add that to the main game outside of the menus and the potential is very apparent.
