Really awesome game! I feel like every animation and aspect was filling out the feel, and story of the game really well and the music building as I climbed the tower was very up-lifting. Incredibly responsive and deep for a game with only one button input. Congrats on the win, well deserved!

The art style is really cool and I dig the story and world-building as well. I didn't find the dice-rolling combat to be that gripping but I liked that you could gather a crew. The music didn't seem to work for me the first time and also the options in the menu didn't do anything. I think you have a great start here and I hope you continue to expand it!

This game is awesome! I really liked the music and the animations were well done. I really did not run into any issues with the gameplay and my high score was 130! I wish I could make it to the top, but it seems like it is endless? I think a dragon boss would be cool too. I was surprised when I could kill the dragon so easily. Congrats on your first game! This is really impressive!

I like to think your team name is the 1-Bit Gods. Fun game! A really novel idea that was pulled off very well. I would have liked to see the mechanic explored a little bit more. Maybe you could have levels with progressively whackier objects. I really liked the music too. Great work!

Thank you! I agree that it is too easy, but it's hard to know when playing your own game, cuz it almost always feels too easy. I appreciate your feedback! I wish I had time to add a challenging boss at the end!

Thank you! The timer is something I wanted to add, along with a leaderboard. I think it's easy to underestimate how addicting it is to try to speedrun and beat your score, or someone else score. It is the same every time. I also wanted to experiment with adding levels or adding a boss at the end. Thanks for your feedback and for playing!

So cool! Very unique game for a jam. I really liked Filling out the last couple of levels of the tower, the longer words and having most of them filled up made it a lot easier to guess. Seems like there is some random generation here? Really cool if so. I think all this game is missing is some chill puzzle game music to keep you in the zone. I was really fixated on completing the tower while playing. Great work!

This game is great! I really like the throwing mechanic, and I found the tower defense/ platformer mash-up to be quite original! I think the controls felt a little slippery, especially on the stairs, and that made maneuvering a bit frustrating sometimes. I had a little difficulty figuring out what was going on at first but once I figured it out I really enjoyed playing. Art, sound and mechanics were all working really well together here. My best attempt I made it to wave 8! Congrats!

Sweet game! I love all of the little touches that make it feel complete and give it some character, like the threat assessments when you first enter a room. The text at the beginning was a little hard to read and I think there could be more feedback when the player is hit, maybe some audio? This is a super solid entry and impressive for a jam game. It is feeling like it should be structured like a roguelike with floors and bosses. Keep it up!

Nice game I made it to the boss. I think the time limit only really serves to cause stress and to make mistakes more unforgiving. It has value in that  it puts pressure on the player to get through the tower quickly. But along with falling out of the tower back to the bottom it only served to make me want to stop playing, which is a shame because there is a lot of care put into the game, and the boss fight at the end is really well done. Also a big fan of the auto arrow shooting mechanic. I noticed a bug where if you hit a bat and then fall into a spike pit the death animation and sound will play twice. Keep it up!

Awesome game! playing with the perspective is fun and works really well! Also cool trying to keep track of where you are when you go inside the windows. I think the visuals could be a bit cleaner and maybe it would help if it wasn't 1 bit. Either way, I found the game really engaging and I would love to see this concept expanded upon. Keep it up!

Awesome game! I loved the opening story! The gameplay is pretty sweet too but I didn't find much room to strategize. I think that borrowing more from the tower defense genre and benefitting from different units doing different things could really help this out. I love the grid system and I think with a few extra layers of complexity this game could be something really special, keep it up!

Nice game! I really liked the color palate, and all of the assets are very well made! The gameplay was fun and had a nice balance between shooting and resting up. I think levels might be more fun then the endless mode but if it had a leaderboard it could also be fun to compete for the highest score. Keep it up!

Fun game! The sprites you made are really awesome! At first, I didn't like how hand-holdy the character was but I liked that he was shy and his character developed through the game. I wasn't really sure what was up with the potion at the end and if it was necessary but I liked that it felt a little mysterious. The levels were well-built as well. Keep it up!

Great entry! One of the strongest I have played so far! Arrow and light mechanics are really cool and it captured the vibe of being in a tower perfectly. I don't think it would hurt to be able to see a little more around the player, but I was able to get to the end with no problem. I am not sure if the story text being to the side was the best choice. I mostly just skipped over it since gameplay was available at the same time. When I got to the end, I walked off screen to the left, and then the game just went dark. I think it was a bug. Keep up the awesome work!

A pretty quick experience. The wall-jumping mechanic was nice. I would have liked a longer level and maybe some classic sonic enemies. I don't feel that the tower theme was really touched upon. but whats here is a good start. Keep it up!

I think the issue may be that when you press down while standing on a platform you will fall through it. I should have removed this feature in hindsight so I will make a note of it on the itch page. Thanks!

Thank you for the feedback, are you able to provide more info on why you found the controls difficult and how to replicate the bug?

Nice game! I liked the challenge and it was cool seeing where I could get to. I think the jump controls are a little weird, you have to hold it down for what feels like a long time. The first jump also seems to be the most difficult, sometimes that alone would take me a minute. I liked the color palate and the timer adds a lot of urgency.

This is where I was able to get to, is there another path I should have taken? Keep it up!

Nice work Clark! Another banger game! You continue to be an inspiration. I really loved the visual style and story of this one. The main swapping mechanic was fun and I liked seeing how far you took it!

Awesome game! The characters and animations are really well done. I liked that there was more than one puzzle mechanic on display and I found the puzzles very satisfying. Outro sequence was nice too! Just in case you didn't know the credits say for GMTK 2824. I hope you will expand upon this, great work!

Nice game! It is really cool to try to stay efficient with all the orders while things quickly get out of hand. I see how the scaling up of production to meet the orders fits the theme but I kind of wish there was an additional scale related mechanic thrown in. Like maybe you are sometimes giving a really big portion of something and have to divide it up, or a really big order comes in sometimes. Nice work!

This game is awesome! I love the visual style and gameplay. The style changes are so cool! I think this game would work well as a roguelike since it could continue on through any number of levels. I got to the third level, but I am going to try some more and see how far it goes. Congrats!

Nice game! I enjoyed trying to grow bigger. I noticed I would go down in size when I got close to an enemy even if I didn't touch them. it may be a hitbox issue or maybe just an issue where I didn't notice when I took damage. I thought the scale in at the beginning was a really nice effect too. Great work!

This game is so cool! The art style and gameplay are awesome! I loved learning little bits of lore and you really created an interesting world that I wanted to explore. I guess my only complaint is that the gameplay is a little one note, but the exploration aspect really kept it interesting. Great work!

Fun game with beautiful sprites! It was fun to play and try to beat my high score. One thing that might be cool to add is a different ending screen depending on your score. I would like to see more of the awesome pixel art! Sharing my high score if anyone wants to try to best it! Great work!

Great game I really liked it and felt compelled to reach the end. On level 4 with the spike pit and playing enemies I felt the mechanics were working together really well. I noticed a few glitches and I think I got soft-locked a few times. I think having a restart level button would be really useful. In level 3 I think the spikes right before the door have no hit box. When I got past level 4 I was just shown this screen :/. I think this is one of the best uses of the scale mechanics I have seen and I really like the simple art style. Great work!

This game was a joy to play! So much character was on display via Reginold and the "Narration". I found the controls pretty fun to use and it seems like they have a high skill ceiling but are easy enough to use. It's fun to manage the meters, (food and temperature), but I like that they are forgiving and he didn't die instantly if one filled up. I enjoyed filling up the cage and the little ending bit is very cute and rewarding. Great work!

Cool game with a nice tone and atmosphere. The level is a great proof of concept and I would love to see it expanded further! I really love the art style and it fits the tone well. It was a little hard to figure out where to round up followers, I wasn't sure if I could get the people outside to join me. Great work!

I enjoyed this game, I think there is a lot of creativity and interesting design on display here. I think the controls were a bit hard, but I got used to them, and the box that you could scale was a little hard to get a hold of sometimes. I think labeling where you can grab the box might help with that. I would have also liked some music and an auto restart when you die. I enjoyed the visuals a lot and you did a lot with a simple concept. Congrats!

Nice work! In a game called Eat the Sun, I was expecting to eat things to grow bigger but you just have to make it to the exit. That part was a little hard to figure out and it was also hard to know what would hurt you. The randomly generated levels are really cool. The sense of scale was working well too! Hope you keep it up!

That makes sense, I think it does add to the mood but I am still curious how you could expand the experience.

Nice game! I really liked how the theme was integrated and the art style is fantastic! I found it a little challenging at first but once I realized I could block out the whole window and de-stress, it became much easier and I was able to complete the game. Once I figured out the mechanic they weren't that deep. I am interested in how this concept could have been explored more if you had more time. Keep it up!

Nice game. The gameplay was a little one-note, but I enjoyed the visuals and atmosphere. Adding some auto-clicking skeletons would be awesome! Keep it up!

Fun game! It is cool that your player scales up over time. The enemies get really big too! I think it would be nice to have some visual or audio feedback when you are getting hit or damaging enemies. Some enemy variety would be great too. I also thought the ui was kind of big and it takes a while for enemies to spawn at the beginning. You have a really nice system here and I hope you will expand it. Great work!

Well done Clark! I was excited to see what you made as I also played your submission for the Gdevelop Game Jam earlier this year! All around a very pleasant experience. I was really inspired by what you were able to create in such a short amount of time. I am sure you are aware of the technical issues but just in case you are not, I noticed some screen shake and the pixels look a bit off when you are "scaled down". I feel the game was just getting good at the end. It really left me wanting more. I am curious what time other people got and I may go back for a speed run later. Keep it up and I'll keep checking out your games whenever I come across them!

I love the art style of this game! It reminded me of Machinarium. Music visuals and story were all working really well together. I think including a leaderboard could add a lot to this game! The concept of building out your robot is so cool! Keep it up!

Fun game! It got a little tricky when I was navigating the asteroids with other ships. I thought the boss fights were really well done and it is a nice-looking game with smooth controls. I kept thinking I would encounter some kind of scaling mechanic, but it was a pretty straightforward space shooter. I am interested to see how you could expand this. Keep it up!

Awesome concept!  I was really impressed with the puzzles and the level design. My only critique is that the controls were a bit stiff. I think hitting a button to initiate wall jump might have been better. I am also not sure if the music fits the best. All in all strong entry and hope you will continue working on it!

Awesome game! I would love to see something like this in iron pineapples soulslike videos! Seriously tho, love the world you built and I felt so inspired playing this!
