Nice nice history.

Developer(+1)

The present will one day be history. "Wars, greed, incompetent leaders" perfectly describe the current situation in the world given the tragic events in Ukraine. Thanks for playing.

Tbh I love the graphics and I'm surprised this was all made from wallpaper images. The story is well told with the help of those images and I have to say your skill to use those images as graphics took me off-guard.

I only wished there was an option to skip the cutscene / explanations, because I personally think that when you are playing a jam game, you usually want to try the content asap and then, if you are interested, keep playing until 100%, same goes with the help menu, which I think should let you proceed + show all info you need to know at the same time so you don't have to wait if you finished reading / be frustrated because you didn't have time to read everything.

Still, I really enjoy the concept and even if you didn't make the graphics, I really like how you implemented them into your game. Hope to see more of you in the future ;)

You're right. If I were working again now, I would put a skip button. I probably won't choke on the next project so much with the story. Thanks for the review.

This was a neat idea. Maybe future versions will include the ability to shoot? Unless I missed it.

Developer(+1)

In the foreseeable future, I'll probably have more fun with this concept, so maybe I'll do something with the shooting. Greeting.

Really loved the concept. Graphics and most importantly the message given out. The only thing i am concerned about it that the cutscene is too lengthy. and the game play  does not points direction where the game is going. however great effort and pretty great game for a game jam.

Also do check out our game as well, will be glad to hear ur opinion as well 😉

Developer

I agree with you. I spent too much time telling the story then actual gameplay which if you play without a mistake lasts exactly 4 minutes. It was more important to me to convey the message at the end of the game than the gameplay itself. When I realized that there was no more time to fix it.

Astoning Graphs, the best graphs for this Jam so Far, and pseudo 3d Nice!!

Tank you for review. Ther is help section in the game where is explained. In short, asteroids should be avoided and the planet the probe is approaching should be inside the circle. After five seconds if the planet is not back in the circle the probe is lost. After a minute the probe scans the planet affecting the Earth. A total of four planets are needed to rebuild the earth.

I have to agree with Dorsey Bros. That intro was awesome. I'm going to have to figure out how to add an intro cut scene to my next game too!

Gameplay was a lot of fun and great job on the graphics. It reminds me of something I would have played on the Sega Saturn.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for review.  Because the game is story driven I’ve devoted a lot of time to making the intro and I’m glad you like it.

Submitted

the intro is sick. it does feel like I'm just panning the camera though in game.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for review. You got a point about camera. Actually its not a camera mowement then tween behaviors on planet asteroids and background. My attempt to display movement in space and create a pseudo 3D effect. I’ll probably have a little fun with that in the foreseeable future so I hope the result will be more convincing.

Submitted

it looks good for 3D but i think it can make playing slightly hard. Maybe I'm just a bonehead though.

Hey! I have also a story of the last survivor on a far away planet in my game (without the apocalypse)! XD

Submitted

yeah your game and this game were the first two i played. I also thought that was funny.
