amazing man
made sure to give a rating!
can you check out my game to?
Juicy little wave game, nicely done! The controls feel super tight, and the "game feel" is right on. I need to play more to get better at it!
And if you haven't had a chance to check out my game Foxy Boom Boxy, I would appreciate any feedback, thanks!
Hmm, this is quite fun! The enemies have a nice variety to them. The visuals and audio are very competent, especially the bullets and gore. It was a bit difficult shooting small enemies, but I managed.
While it is fun trying to move out of direct engagement and not get stuck in a bad position, moving is still underwhelming compared to shooting. This might sound corny, but maybe there could be traps that enemies can be lured into.
Also, I'm not sure if this is just on my end, but I was able to walk through walls quite trivially.
Great work!
Thanks for the feedback for the movement. i'll take these into account for the post-jam update.
Really creative approach to the theme, the only thing I would change is to make enemies a bit bigger, but the game is fun so it doesn’t matter that much :)
Thanks for the feedback. The size of the enemies seem to be the main feedback people give, guess i need to be able to spot and fix something like that next time lol.
This game is really addictive, I found myself playing multiple rounds because the gameplay loop was just that much fun. Switching between movement and shooting is such a clever mechanic because it makes the player think about strategic positioning which is so cool and refreshing. The only aspects that I was not that convinced by were the visuals and the enemies, while the style is consistent throughout the game, some of the elements are visually confusing; for instance, there is an enemy that drops green orbs and I was not sure exactly if that was supposed to be good or bad at first. In regard to the enemies, sometimes it feels like they are too small and hard to hit, I understand that shooters usually require certain level of precision, however at times I felt like I couldn't aim properly at the enemies due to their size. But these two are just minors complains, and I would still agree that this game is really great and I would definitely play a full version of this game with a wide variety of enemies and mechanics.
Didn't think anyone would like this game this much. I probably should've changed the enemy projectiles to red instead since you mentioned the green enemy. Thanks for the compliments and feedback!.
Good game! I really liked the On/Off mechanics, it's very original
Thanks!.
pretty interesting concept but can feel a bit annoying when you get swarmed with enemies and you can't move. p.s can you check out my game pls https://itch.io/jam/gdevelop-game-jam-4/rate/2208939 ratings are greatly appreciated
Spray and pray like the lord intended on those xeno scum, Amen.
I’m impressed it’s rare for someone to make a shooter style game
"On/Off" doesn't really inspire "shooter" i guess.
Kinda feels like you just reskinned your other game...even so, I don't see where the ON/OFF theme comes into play? It's a fun top down shooter, but I think you could have done more to differentiate it from the other game you just published.
The other game's mechanic is possessing enemies to use them against themselves, and this one uses the ON/OFF theme by making the player switch from Attacking [On] to Moving [Off]. the only things that really correlate those two games are the graphics and story.
Good try keep it up, well done :)
Would you mind taking a moment to check out my game as well and provide a rating? Your feedback would be greatly appreciated. Game Link
