I made a playthrough video of your game. Congrats on winning "GDevelop's Big Game Jam #4" event!
Ayo just dropping by again to say congratulations on winning the game jam BIG TIME!! You made an awesome game that I am glad to have experienced. Extremely well earned! 🏆
I still want that Gameboy port though 😉
Thank you! Congratulations on the community win (and #1 fun and design); the magnet is really fun to use!
fun game with amazing ideas i loved it a lot like my game left it a rating
pleas check out and rate game before the deadline its also a 3d puzzle game were you run from monsters and try to find keys almost exactly like yours
It really is surprising that he developed such a complex (in a good way) system during the limited time of this jam!
The union of 2D and 3D was done in a very clever way, perhaps the best application I've seen for this genre.
The only bug I noticed during my gameplay was the popin of certain 3D objects, but I think that could be a limitation of the engine.
The buttons chosen for action/options/etc didn't seem the best either, but it's an easy detail to resolve.
I did not expect the game to be puzzle horror, I also did not expect this is the second logic gates game I played. Finally, I did not expect myself to beat it. This game surprised me on many fronts.
The inner game has good presentation. I especially liked the music, and the black ghost is rather cute too!
Then the outer game happened, and little did I know they will be my only solace.
The ambient sound and lighting(sometimes lack thereof) creates a very tense atmosphere and a sense of danger. A great bit of tutorialization at the start is when you see a bunch of ghosts blocked by glass, hinting that the player can die the same way the black ghost would. And even when you're absolutely safe, you can still something faintly "speaking" when you turn on the game.
Many games have the problem of ON usually being the superior option. While back and forth is absolutely required to progress, I'm surprised to find out in this game, OFF is the preferred option. Normally this would be a bad thing, but after clearing the narrow hallway and memorize where to go in the last puzzle, I don't care anymore. I felt like a badass at the end by not dying even once.
Then the credits happened, and I'm happy to leave this behind and tuck the memory at the corner of my mind.(rhyme intentional)
This game single handedly cured my fear of darkness. 10/10
This was a super cool game! The mix of 2D and 3D mechanics was amazing! I really loved the color of the 2D puzzle too; it really stood out against the grays of the 3D world. The music was also really fun and boppy. I feel like the puzzles jumped in difficulty a bit too soon and it could have felt a bit smoother if the more complicated mechanics were introduced a bit slower. Though, this could just be a me problem lol. All in all, this was a super impressive, fun game!
I agree. I think I introduced at least half-an-hour's learning worth of mechanics in a game that is (with all prior knowledge) only a few minutes.
Really impressed with this! Wasn't expecting the 3D twist all of sudden, at it gave the whole game a much more profound dimension I'll say :) Loved also how you nailed both the audio and 4-tones GB Light aesthetic. Game-wise, I'll admit that I never was too fond on Zacthronics-like puzzles, too complicated for my small brain :P but I definitely got myself lost with all these operators and found myself just mashing buttons at one point to progress; do you think that removing some operators would benefit player clarity and not loosing the depth of the puzzles? Again, seriously good work, one of the best in this Jam for sure!
Probably. I went into integrating the gates without a full idea of what they would be interacting with. I could've just cut XOR / XNOR (wait... I don't think I even used XNOR... why did I put it in the manual??). NAND also tended to be perfunctory.
Absolutely incredible! The music was a great fit and the game was so much fun. The twist when it went 3d caught me off guard, and the puzzles were very entertaining.
You definitely made use of the theme in so many ways, all the way down to how the game ends after the credits. The 3D was very impressive given how it's a new feature, and I'm glad to see GDevelop handled it so well in the browser.
very good game, very good puzzles, great job
Good puzzles and great take on the theme
That's really cool game with both 2d & 3d incorporated.

Dude, what a great take on the theme and a killer execution of a unique concept! I'm blown away by what you were able to put together, and love the dual 2D/3D gameplay. Nicely done!
Great game! I really liked the style of the game, its slightly creepy atmosphere and puzzles weren't too complicated. Really nice game! Good job
I'm not usually a fan of 8-bit style games, but this one is fantastic !
It has actually made me appreciate this type of game.
I believe it's one of the best games in this game jam, and you should definitely win without a doubt !
I have no criticisms, it was brilliant, GJ and GG...
Probably so far my favorite puzzle game of the jam! I absolutely love the Gameboy aesthetics mixed with 3D. Also as Gameboy collector and someone who had to go through the horrors of discrete mathematics I feel oddly represented by this game.
Now all I think there is left to do is port this game to the actual Gameboy. Just shrink the game down to 256kb and re-build it using Z80 Assembly to support the LR35902 architecture, and then we are golden! 😆
The way you implemented the theme and the logic gates is Epic. Great Job
I got stuck at the part with several levers, will play again tomorrow to check what I did wrong, but enough said

This is way more of what a Game Jam should be, you took a lot of other games of this jam and mixed perfectly in a truly addictive piece of art! Congratulations! My personal favorite so far.
DAAAAAAAAAAAANG!!!
Dang ! that's an epic game ! <3
Enjoyed solving the puzzles and switching between the 3D and 2D world :D
it took so much time to load though <.>
Overall, great job !
