Quite a nice little relaxing fishing game.
Though the fish got stuck on the right side so I could go there and spam the harpoon to catch them.

Relaxing, nice papercraft feel, well done <3

relaxing but a little buggy

this was simple but super fun! My only problems is that the origin of the projectiles isn't properly set up, so it's hard to aim, and that the game zooms in and out wait too fast, my mouse moves wuickly so it was pretty disorienting to looks at, but a pretty short and sweet experience!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, yeah the shooting gave me a hard time. If it was just a bullet it would be easier but just couldn’t get that spear to shoot properly when aiming too much up or down.

Thanks for the feedback about the zoom causing issues with the camera and it’s zooming, will look at how to slow that down :)

Nice! Found the graphics nice, it made me feel bad for the fish with the spear going through it like that. Especially since they where rather cute.

Nice work on the camera system, and movement, felt really nice and smooth.

Found a small bug where if you boost yourself up to the edge of the water you get stuck there and cant fire or move anymore. Also some angles if felt like the shot didnt leave the gun in the correct spot.

Developer

Thanks for pointing out the boost bug, will have to go look at that. And I feel you, spearing all those cute fishies feels a bit cruel from time to time.

I lost so much time trying to get that shooting right and still couldn’t get it right if you aim too much up or too much down. Hence why the rest of the game is quite empty

This was really fun. Enjoyed the mechanic. Could definitely be developed into something bigger!

Nice spearfishing game. The camera system might make some people nauseous. It was fun to see the whole game area at once though. I didn't really understand if there's a scoring system involved?

Developer

Sadly there isn’t in the jam version. The plan was to have different fish give you different scores and so on. Many many ideas didn’t make it into the jam version :(

nice game. Bro can u pls explain me how you made the camera.Would be a real help

The controls are smooth, and it's weirdly cool how you can stretch the camera to take up the full map like that. The game itself however is pretty empty, all you do is spear fish in order to throw more spears to spear more fish, there's nothing keeping track of your score, and no way to lose. It needs those things (and more) to feel more like a game and less like a barebones test.

(There's also a glitch where the fish just hug the wall, unless it's not a glitch and the fish are just cowering in fear from the bloodthirsty Fin?)

Developer(+1)

Hey thanks so much for the feedback. Yeah in hindsight I would have been better off getting those things in first, believe me there is a looong list of things I still wanted to add. I got stuck for too long on the movement and shooting trying to get that to feel right, although it’s still wonky. But my big take away from this jam is to get the small wins in first.

I had a lot of fun playing this! The game design feels and looks great while also being really enjoyable and smooth 😁
