I wasn't sure at first but once the chase starts and the music kicks in I was really drawn into it. Trying to avoid all the chasers while feeding as often as I could was loads of fun.

I reckon a time to live between feeds might be good too. This would force the player to keep feeding while avoiding the ever increasing cops chasing you.

It's a cool concept, but like you write yourself, could use some more work.

It started lagging for me after a while and my laptop got pretty warm.

Thanks for playing!

It started lagging for me after a while and my laptop got pretty warm.

My long term plan is for this game to replace Crysis in the phrase “but can it run Crysis” :P But seriously, optimisation wasn’t on the plan. The best the game does is cull NPCs that are a certain distance from the player.

Nice! Wouldn't work on my browser, (Edge), but looks really cool! What game engine did you use?

Thanks! Used Godot. This is my first complete game and I basically tested that it worked on Chrome and called it done. Post release support is sorely lacking!

Cheers for uploading the game, I had a fun time playing it, I see lots of potential for this enemy detection system, I feel like it could be utilised and refined in the future for the next games you make.

I do however feel that the game wasn't balanced as well as it could have been. There were many instances where I thought I was being sneaky and still managed to get detected by the police every time. The first 2 or so kills feel stealthy, then it quickly turns to a mad dash to evade the police, grabbing as many additional kills as you can.
Just a couple of hours of tweaking is all it would take to improve the play experience drastically.

Thanks for posting the game,

Thanks for the feedback!

I initially had envisioned this as being a lot more stealth focused, however this version is definitely more action leaning. There were plans for potential better detection mechanisms and I agree there are some potentially quick(ish) improvements to add in. However implementation and balance takes time and sadly that was not on my side for the jam deadline. So I left it as a mad dash!

Glad to hear you enjoyed it :D

Hello buddy,

Congrats for the game.

I played a bunch of times for score it being fair.

The game start to be interesting when you zoom out and understand how large the level is. Was interesting to avoid the cops and search for good victims to get more lives.

You did a good job here. congrats buddy.

If is possible, give a look in my game as well! your feedback will be precious.
