I feel like I had missed something after reading the other comments. I did notice the three people stuck together, I just ran through while continuously shooting. I did not realize there was a shield. I do like the style though, and I like the idea now that I know what's going on.
There is something fun about the concept of a character that is a stuck-together ball of people, kind of like an old game of a three-legged race. And there's an interesting idea about having to face away from an enemy to tank an attack, it wasn't needed against these enemies, but the game worked well enough I could see a hypothetical situation where I would need to do that.
I like the idea that was mentioned to be able to swap who is leading instead of the rotating. Maybe then one could only use a character's abilities while they're in the lead. I'll add that there were some colliders missing or not working quite right for me. I walked through the wall at the end of the level and ventured into the void beyond.
Nice particle effects when the bullets hit the enemies!
I can see what you're going for but agree with the other's comments. My thought is maybe using the key binds 1,2 & 3 to select the current person in front. All the spinning around got me confused.
It's a cute concept and I can see the potential here. I agree with bastis about the riot shield guy, and I'll add that the healer doesn't really have a reason to reposition them either. I think just giving the heal a cooldown would add a little incentive to use the others strategically
It's a fun idea that you control all three characters together. I didn't really find a use for the riot shield guy though. It was just easier to blast the enemies and spam the heals when I got low on health.
