First time I played, I couldn't figure out how to close the spell book — I realized this time that there's a white arrow on the light yellow page.
Maybe putting the spell UI on the bottom of the screen, toolbar style, instead of covering the middle, would make it easier (and juicier) to see what the spell you just chose did.

I didn't play long enough to have valuable opinions on the game loop — except that I felt like I soft-locked myself by buying the Spinner too early and not knowing how to turn it off, so I couldn't do the spell that takes threads anymore (Spinner kept eating my threads.) EDIT: Oh, I see you're planning to change that.

The spirit's animation feels a little mechanical but I do like the leaning and the overshoot!

I  like this concept and want to see how you develop it further! Cheers!

Love the art, it's pretty cute, and the music is very soothing and it's something I would expect from a chill idle game.

My only issue is that clicking on the spellbook and map also sends your spirit there, I would've liked that the UI elements are not "click-through". Maybe the game should even be paused while choosing what to pick, as I felt like I'm missing out on collecting while deciding, it kinda clashed with the chill feeling the game was providing (although, that could just be my issue since everything is infinite and I'm technically not losing anything - it just feels like I am).

Other than that, I liked it overall and even though I don't usually play (or prefer) idle games, I played this to the end :)

I love the background music. It's very soothing which complements the gameplay. The design decision to control two playable characters is very unique and I like it very much.

I found the mana spinner and the cord ability by just clicking around outside the map. Even though I'm technically on the first stage. Is there a way to turn off the mana spinner? Because once you find the mana spinner, there's no way to get fiber which is needed to grow your vertex or buy a map and I found that frustrating. Maybe you should lock the abilities instead of placing them in the world and hiding it.

Ah, you found my  flaw I was hoping no one would find! I am chagrined to admit I didn't know how to actually block the player from walking off the platform until the upgrades were purchased and just hoped no one would notice you can actually pick up all the upgrade items from the beginning of the game. Sorry about letting your progress get stopped like that. I also wanted to add a toggle to the spinner so the player can turn off the auto turning to threads, but ran out of time before I could figure that out as well. So I completely agree with your constructive criticisms and those all need changed.

Thank you so much for your feedback!

There are some really nice pieces of polish here - the spirit always overshooting where they're supposed to move and correcting them is a fun way to show that they're both fast and floaty!

I like that this game is functionally an idle game but doesn't present itself as such immediately. Good balance to active/passive actions, and makes the start of teh game feel less boring than it otherwise could be!

I appreciate that there is some BGM. Consider some sound effects for things like placing new vortexes, or otherwise purchasing upgrades. Possibly for collecting mana, but given that you will constantly be collecting mana, maybe its a good idea to not have an SFX for this!

Thank you!

I'm glad you liked the spirit's movement, that was where I started development and wanted to get the right feel across. I wasn't sure if the overshooting was too much and it varies based on how far it has to move, but I'm glad it was at least interesting.

I would like each button activated to have a sound, and when the vortexes are placed and grow. And I agree, possibly for collecting, though it would have to be very subtle to not become overbearing. Hm, maybe a very small sound just when the spirit collects the mana . . .
