If you win GDKO 2024 would you like to be a judge for GDKO 2025?
ye sure why not :)
How long have you been doing game dev?
since early 2021
Why did you get into game dev?
started as a hobby :)
What is your favourite thing about game dev?
A lot of things tbh :D but most of all - community, challenges of switching hats, virtually unlimited potential of growth in so many directions, game dev is probably the best way to utilize technical skills into a form of art, and fun ofc :D
What do you struggle with most about game dev?
time, I want more :D
What's your favourite food?
I love coffee which is not a food, well... I like vegetarian dishes (animals are our friends)
If you could have any video game character as a pet who would it be?
Murloc
What are 3 games you couldn't live without?
half life 2, Death Stranding, Sir Spectacles series
Who's games have you most enjoyed playing throughout GDKO 2024?
haha... all of them! especially loved the game from Larry "Santa Lucia" in round 3. I don't know it had something special for me personally. Also was enjoyable to follow Hazmatt and DevPirates. Q34 and HugBug - very good content throughout the competition!
What do you like most about GDKO?
Community!!! Apart of that GDKO pushes me out of my comfort zone and encourages to try new things in every round as each one is very focused on one aspect of game dev.
What Country are you from?
I don't recognize borders ;P I was born in the middle of Eurasia continent, and currently live in Europe.
I did not manage to play your game since I only have a macbook at the moment.
Looking forward so see some playthroughs from the judges though, the screenshots look really good and the game looks very well polished!
It was great talking to you in the discord group. I think you really pushed yourself throughout the GDKO with all the different technical challenges you took on :D
Are you also joining next year?
Nice gambling game there, and it made me giggle every time the whisper voiceover popped in. I bought myself some nice graffiti and had a good little streak going there for a bit. Alas, I pushed my luck too far. Hahaha.
You're such an awesome, supportive member of the community, through all of the rounds! It's been excellent to get to know you a little on the Discord, and I really, really appreciate your positive attitude and "go team" approach. GDKO is a great group of people and I'm so glad I stumbled into the group. Here's to making friends and learning together! We've all grown so much and experiencing the sheer variety of games and clever ideas has been really helpful in my gamedev journey. Thanks for everything, Evengy!
Very funny and original idea! It's an unexpected take on the theme and I like it. You successfully pulled off the addictive feeling of risk and reward. I didn't try the multiplayer mode, but it's probably even better. Buying graffiti in the shop is a neat touch and made me more interested in gaining money. Great entry!
All your games from this GDKO were innovative and exciting to discover. I really enjoyed seeing what you'll come up with in each round and I was never disappointed. The level of polish that you clearly put a lot of effort in was very impressive! Some of my favorite games from the whole competition were made by you. Like Track and Fear that I played for a lot time, it was so fun! Great job Evengy and good luck!
Ha! Great game that was well executed. I'm sorry you couldn't get it working how you wanted, that could have been even more fun. Great job.
