Really fun game.
The mise en scene is nice and have an epic music with it !

The game is pretty simple, maybe too simple (and it is not your opponent that will tell otherwise).
Input are hard coded which means that i have to physically press w (on a azerty keyboard, this is awkward). I know that you can play it with key arrows but it is not suitable for long sessions.

As I speak about long sessions, it would have been nice to have a way to skip the intro once you already saw it (or at least giving the possibitly to choose a button to not have to manually select a button from my mouse which is useless for the rest of the game).

I liked the retro vibe and enjoyed playing your game, well done !
PS : Blup blup  :D

cool game!! you did a great job coming up with an idea for that zany prompt lol. Like others have said, the intro cutscene is awesome and sets the stage really well. I liked the way you made the "subatomic" joke with the player in this part; often times videogame humor hits you over the head in a very abrupt way, but you were more subtle with it, which gives the joke room to breather and be funny, nice job. the sound effects work well to add to the driving experience. The driving mechanics i am on the fence about, I assume your intention was to give the car a very slippery feel (it is a goldfish driving after all lol) which you nailed, but it was too slippery for me to the point of frustration. But maybe that is the point and this game genre is just not for me. Another minor complain is that the camera prevented me from spinning in circles, snapping back after a partial turn, full spinny control would be nice in a game like this. Overall I enjoyed playing your game: the art is clean, sound adds to the driving experience, the opening cutscene is excellent, and your take on a crazy prompt was fun to play, great entry!

Truly creative intro sequence!

I think the fish is being very kind to the player because the AI car is so easy to beat and gets stuck a lot.

Great job on following through with the prompt.

This game has so much character! The opening was great and really funny starting from the zoom out on the prompt. Fantastic. The speed being measured in fermis too is really fun. And the driving controls were fun to get used to and get better with! It would be nice if there was a way to replay the race though without doing the intro again for repeated races!

the prompt is absolutely nuts, i love it. the racing is cool and i honestly really liked the weirder drifting controls and the more dizzying camera, it made me feel like i was fighting for my life inside that car lol. i do feel like more weird ideas could've been incorporated to make it truly fit the subatomic theme, maybe something where you can only ever know your position or speed at a given time, or some other cool references to the science behind subatomic particles and their weirdness could lead to some even cooler ideas i think. still solid game, i just wish it incorporated that idea of subatomic particles because i think that'd be really interesting.

I respect the commitment to the insane prompt. The controls were fun once i got the hang of really going full send with the drifting. The camera made me a little sick tho lol

Love the goofy drifting controls, very well done ! Not sure i understood the link between the fish programmer intro (very funny btw) and the race game, apart from the fish simply "programming" the game.

Would have loved to see more tracks with gameplay variations.
