Nice game! The visual effects are very suitable and the gameplay is pretty interesting and challenging! Great job!
Thank you so much 😊
Nice game! Maybe if the enemies (purple circles) looked more dangerous it might be better
Thanks, I should’ve tried and explained that more :p
This was fun and a good use of the theme -nice work! :D
Thank you very much!
Multiplayer game! :D
I might think of adding that :D
Liked your art style! Designing is good!
Thank you, I am working on my level design :p
I mean it was an alright game at most, the movement feels wonky , and it has way too much bloom for my liking there's a player 1 and 2 for seemingly no reason (I beat the first few levels with a single player without a problem)
Thank you for the feedback. There are many things I have yet to correct, that is true. The movement is a little wonky, and I have also had many other people say the bloom was a little intense. I tried to use that with the theme implementation actually (picking which player to go through a.k.a picking a side).
Good job! In my opinion the bloom was a little too high. It would have been cool if the cubes could jump off each other when stacked as well. The controls felt fluid, not too floaty, and keeping track of which inputs controlled which square added a nice level of difficulty, especially if they switched relative sides from each other. Overall fun game!
Thanks! I usually hide the bad graphics with post processing and I was unaware that I had made the bloom really intense, and yeah, I've gotten the same from most raters as well.
Very interesting to control 2 players w/2 inputs at the same time. My dexterity is a bit low for this, but I gave it a go a few times.
Thank you!
Fantastic game, good job.
Thank you very much!
Promising little puzzle game!
I wish the levels were more logic dependent than precision, but I still enjoyed the things Neon Express can offer right now. I would suggest you watch certain platformer game-making videos to get informed about certain juice aspects of platformers and apply them in your next games!
Good job!
Thank you very much, and yes, I will try to look in to some platformer game making tutorials/videos and learn some more about structuring levels!
I loved the blurry effect and the geometric platformer style. Very good.
I found interesting the idea of controlling two players, but it would have been good to explore this mechanic to solve the levels (like adding the possibility to jump on the top of the other player). Maybe some suggestion if you plan to work again on this after the jam would be to adjust the movements a bit (the left-right feels very fast, while the jump is really slow) and the hitboxes (when you collide with a platform, you can see the box entering a bit into it before being shifted back).
Anyway, nice job! :)
Thank you so much! It is possible to jump on top of both players, but then the jump force gets lowered since the weight of the top player is added. I could not find the balance between the jump and the left-right movement, unfortunately but if I had done a bit more polishing, I think I would've.
Neat effects! I think I would prefer to restart the level upon death instead of restarting the whole game. This would be a ton of fun if I had a second player; I think I'll come back and play this one again! Good job!
Thanks, I didn't think of adding that, I might soon 😄
Cool concept! You gotta love that bloom. I saw the other people didn't like it however.. Maybe dd a setting for it?H
Good entry :D
Thank you very much 😊
I think the platforms should move with the player, and the post proccessing was a little overdone. Making it so the players can jump off of each other would probably help the concept of "you must choose only one player" to make it more interesting.
Thanks, post processing is my excuse for terrible graphics, I didn't meant to overdo it though. Yes, I'll think of adding that 😄
Cool idea with these players. I got one thing that could be better. When you walk on the platform and the platform is moving, player falls. It could be better if player was moving with platform (sorry if you didn't understand me at some point, english is not my first language. I'm not happy with the sentences haha, could be better english)
Thank you, yeah I tried to solve this issue, it didn't end up working?? Great english though 😊
The game looked very polished and it was fun to play! You did a good job for making this in 2 days!
Thank you very much 😊
when I try to play the gam there is a compression error. I fixed it on my game by going into the player settings and setting the compression mode to disabled, hope this helps.
Ah yes thank you, I fixed this :)
