Thank you for playing! The reflection in the pond is in fact the ending. Yeah, there are plenty of bugs as this game was made under a time constraint. Optimization was a big focus while making this game and I am glad your computer could run it smoothly. I will have to check out your game!

Thank you! Cinamachine was a big help with this project.

Thank you! This jam was an amazing learning experience, especially with the art style. I'm glad the checkpoints helped.

Thank you!

Thank you! Yup, it's a lot harder than it comes off to be.

Thank you!

Thank you! Unfortunately, I couldn't think of an idea for the entire first day, so I had to come up with something since I started a day late, it's pretty loose, but I wanted to get something finished. 😅

Good job, thanks for playing it on stream!

Thank you! Yeah, I have made the mistake of including no checkpoints before and didn't want to make it again.

Thank you! Yeah, I was planning to add more stuff, but time took its toll.

Thank you for the feedback!

Thank you for the kind words! I was hoping the game would come across that way. While I didn't manage to add everything I wanted to, I am glad you found its simplicity appreciative!

Thank you! Yeah,  hopefeully, after the jam I will get the colliders fixed.

Thanks! Yeah, I wish I had noticed that before rating started.

Thank you! I had a lot of fun working on it.

Thanks! I had fun coming up with the rhymes :D

Thank you! Yeah, the bumping is in fact a feature, I am glad you noticed it!

(1 edit)

I really liked the idea of the game and everything felt polished and complete! I had hard time making the pieces in time (But that is probably because I was playing it solo). But I could see this being a chaotic and fun game to play with friends! This is probably one of the most polished games I have seen this jam!

Thank you! I always try to sneak in some sort of message into my games, and it being a take on a fairy tale made that a lot easier.

Thank you!  I have always wanted to make a game in this style and this jam was a great oppurtunity to do so.

Thank you! The art style changed a lot during development but I ended up with something I was happy with.

A clever take on the theme! The music really fit the envirement and I liked the visuals as well. The time system is a unique idea to progress in levels. Great work!

This is a really fun game! I like the horror elements and the quick thinking. The AI is well balanced and worked well with the game.

Thanks! Yeah, the game is a lot more difficult than it seems, although with proper timing and precision the crocodiles stand no chance against the duckling 😂.

Thank you Duckman! I am glad you found the game relaxing.  Atmosphere was a big focus point for me making the game. Thank you again for reviewing!

Sorry about that, the pixelated style can definitely get a little trippy. I see what you mean with the collisions, I may make the colliders smaller after the jam. Thank you for reviewing!

😅 Thank you! Yes, those crocodiles are not being very nice to the duckling.

Thank you! I had a lot of fun thinking about the poems. I usually don't add too many sound effects in my games, although I had an urge to make some this time and it was very enjoyable.

I think the description does a great job of explaining the rules. I just didn't check before I played, so that was really on me. Great game once again!

Thank you, I had a lot of fun coming up with rhymes for the little story sections 😀

It seems we both made duckling games 😀. The graphics were nice and the sound affects fit the style really well. I like the idea of reversing the controls. Nice job!

I love the transitions; it makes the game feel so much more complete! The game itself is engaging and enjoyable. The explosion effect is very satisfying as well. I managed to make it to 38.

Thank you! I was inspired by some piano pieces I been listening to recently and decided to make a little orchestral version for the music. I'm glad you found it calming 😀

Great game Asodiac! Everything felt very clean and crisp. The art was consistent, and I liked the games style with a simple and clean look. I enjoyed the ramp up in difficulty throughout the game and the variety of enemies. The audio fit perfectly as well. Overall, a great execution!

The game felt very polished and had a clean feel to it. The gameplay itself was enjoyable and I always found myself excited to see what would happen once I started the simulation.  I liked the idea of having the bowling lane carry the challenges. Great work!

😂 An extremely clever take on the theme! The game was genuinely enjoyable, and everything felt smooth and polished. Definitely a great candidate for the Enjoyment rating!

A fun puzzle experience! I had a bit of trouble figuring out the controls at first but once I did, I saw so much potential! I hope you continue to work on this in hte future, the mechanics are so unique and refreshing. Good luck!

The art is great! The controls felt very smooth and responsive and the animations were nice too. I am excited to see a complete version!

🤣 I love the sound effects! The idea of the game is really creative, and it was well expected. I never found myself in a stuck situation and enjoyed the quick reaction time when rotating the food.
