Incredible idea, and I love the execution! <3 Simple and effective!

I do want to take note of how flimsy your "flow" graph is (Skill needed / difficulty ratio per level over time), with a VIOLENT thrust upwards mid-way and then a violent thrust downwards near the end. Level design is a key in a game like this, so watch out!

And you know what would be interesting and immediately make the game super replayable? A Par system and a level select, maybe a few medals for doing so. As a huge flash game fan, this seems like one amazing one ready to be put on some sites out there. Really well done - probably one of my faves of the jam!

Its an extremely simple mechanic, and yet you do so much with it! It felt very fully realized with lots of different ideas that you showcased well throughout your levels. Also, unlike VVVVVV, I enjoyed the emphasis on momentum, and you came up with tons of cool ideas that explored it. Not much else to say, other then very nice job!

Thank you for the feedback!

Fun to play, has a lot of room to turn into a more complete experience; great game jam entry, feels like a complete game, thanks for uploading!

Thanks for playing!

Very well designed ans stylish game. I loved all the juice you jammed into the game.

I would have liked some more mechanics that benefited from the gravity switching however there's only so much you can do in a short time and this definitely is a great prototype.

One of my favourites so far, great job!

An interesting take on the theme! Really polished for something that was only made in 48 hours!

Developer

Thanks! I was worried that I over-polished it haha

Fantastic. Clever take on the gravity-flipping stuff. Made for some neat puzzle-ish stuff. Great job!

Thank you!

No problem. Would you be interested in trying my game too? It has a gravity theme too

Developer(+1)

Sure thing! I’ll check it out after work tomorrow! Looks cool!

I really like what you did with the theme! I think it all came together really well, both aesthetically and from a gameplay perspective. I especially liked that level where you had to keep shifting gravity to stay between the spikes; I felt it was an appropriate advancement of the game's mechanics. My only suggestion would be to have a clearer outline of which part of the walls constitutes the hole, as I felt it was a bit vague. Otherwise, I think you should continue with it, add a few more levels and new mechanics, and release it as a mobile game!

Thanks!

Good fun. VVVVVV vibes.

It is really fun game! The only missing thing is a lvl displayer on HUD, it would give player the satisfaction of how far he/she gets.

Easy to take in hand. Interesting concept instantly making one think of VVVVVV. I guess it's in the theme. Congratulations.

Cute, responsive, and very fun to play. Love the idea and gravity control. The visual style really amps up the playfulness! Would love to see an expansion with more mechanics to up the challenge like moving platforms, moving enemies, physics like wind funnels, and other objects to be affected by gravity (eg. moving a box blocking the hole).

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Those are cool ideas too!

so charming and responsive, would love to see a full release of this. Also the use of a single offset dot to show the ball's rotation but keep with the minimal aesthetic is wonderful!

Cool idea and I really like the minimalist flat graphical style. Maybe there needs to be some tweaks to the physics 'feel' but otherwise I can certainly see this being developed further.

Thank you!

The idea is very good, pls do more levels

Will update as soon as the jam voting ends!

This is my favourite game from this jam so far (Including my own!). I really respect the fact that you focused on making a smaller game and making it polished to a mirror shine. There is this tendency of most devs (me included) to make something sprawing and large but rough. And frankly i think the work on the lettering and colour scheme is great! a rare 5/5 from me!

Developer

Thank you so much! I kind of wished I had focused less on polish and more on creating more levels haha but I’m glad you appreciate the effort!

Nice entry.  Level design was clever and well executed. I felt the ball was maybe a bit too "heavy" sometimes, more like a bowling ball, but that's not a real issue. Well done!

Developer

Thank you! Haha now that you mention it I can totally see the bowling ball thing.

I love it. Simple and well designed.  This is exactly the kind of thing you would hope emerges from a prompt like this. The art style is good. The levels feel like a lot of thought went into each of them. I felt like I could've kept playing for a long time and could see myself buying a game like this.

My only issues: a couple of times it felt like my clicks weren't registering and I had to click a few times to get it to flip. Also, I personally felt like the sound effects were a little grating. Could've just been the volume, but I think maybe a little polish could be directed there if you keep working on this.

Great stuff! I hope to see more of it in the future.

Has to be one of my favourites so far. Exactly the right amount of polish, very slick and clean and aesthetically pleasing, a ton of levels, very good level design, and actually quite addicting. This could work really well as a mobile game, adding a stroke limit.

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
