Hi FireTotemGames and your team
I never imagine that one classical top-down shooting game can match this theme perfectly. But Your game did it. I checked the credit. The sound and graphics is great because their style is match with the Sci-Fi. And your special Effects really impressed me. And the settings panel and options really very suitable.
If you want to update later, I hopes you can add one slot or Cell to display the player current weapon. Because when I played in wave 5, when I want to get the "green bomb weapon", I cannot get this weapon and confused a while. Later I understand I just hold one weapon and I ignore using it first. (Might this is my own problem.)
Very impressed game. I will add to my collection and looking for your another game~
Hi Beaver Joe
Thank you very much for your in depth feedback. I'm also surprised that the game turned out so well, after feeling that it will be garbage in the middle of the jam :D
I totally agree with you on displaying the weapon that is currently held by the player, but I didn't know where to put it and the limited time. But this will be on the todo list if we keep working on this game.
Feeling honored that you added it to your collection.
PS: The green bomb weapon is called a "grenade"
Yeah. I understand I marked may things on my TODO list but failed to complete some of points. And during 48 hours or one week game jam, giving up always appear in our mind. Just adjusting the emotion and keep working and not let's us regret after deadline. (•̀ᴗ•́) و ̑̑
Very cool and super enjoyable! Game was great fun and sticks to the theme. Lots of variety in the weapons to keep the player on their toes!
Thank you very much and I'm glad you enjoyed the game.
It's a little scary to get so many good comments. Is it that good or are people just afraid to point out the bad parts :D I'm ok with that, because how else will you improve
Agreed! Feedback is so important!
Your game is on my to-play list, as area all the games from the people who comment on my game. Expect bad feedback if your game is bad, but I will point out what could be better and not just say "this is bullshit" :D
It would be appreciated! Thanks!
Had a lot of fun with this game! The game was designed really well, had to actually figure out what weapon I wanted to use based on the enemies left and their health level. Gotta save those grenades for the next round to hit the swarm
If you had a lot of fun then I would say "objective accomplished" :D
You are the first person who likes the grenade the most. I don't know why nobody likes the pistol or shotgun :D
I thought the pistol was supposed to be the worst weapon in the game, no? I usually only use those when the round is almost over, to finish off the low health enemies and clear up space for better weapons to appear
This is a super fun game! I think the one shot mechanic works so well with all the different type of weapons you had.
Thank you very much. We planned to have some more weapons which would have been awesome too, but the time was too short ...
But with all the positive feedback, I think it's not wrong to keep working on this game.
Really loved the presentation man. Especially the design. Music as well :)
Thank you very much. First person who mentions the awesome music. Kudos to our musician :D
thanks for the comment! I had a lot of fun playing with the "Only One" idea in the music. Only One note for most of it. Then, when it is more than one note, each note moves by only One semi-tone or One whole-tone. Also played around with removing One note at a time from the phrasing of the rhythms.
Did I need to do it this way? Definitely not
Did it make it fun and challenging to work on the music? Heck yeah 😀
Now that's the spirit :)
I did not know that you implemented the "Only One" theme also for the music :D
;)
Beautiful graphics and many different weapons, enemies of sufficient intelligence and a difficulty that grows not too fast.
If we then add the working menu and much more it is definitely a great game for a Game Jam.
As for the idea, not very original but follows the theme and therefore I cannot criticize it.
Congratulations.
Thank you very much.
I learned making menus very fast due to the few game jams I have attended :D
I know that we will not get full points for originality, but we have an awesome game nonetheless. We liked the idea so much, that we just had to use it.
Awesome game! I loved to play it! so smooth, dynamic and challenging! Congratulations! I got impressed how professional is your game made in just 48h.
Wow, thanks for the awesome comment.
The best part is, everything was made from scratch. :D
Really satisfying nailing a group with the RPG~
Pistol feels a little underwhelming given it's one-shot one-target nature but hey, can't make things too easy.
Just wish I could aim better XD
Did you play with the mouse and keyboard or gamepad? You have an aim-assist when playing with mouse and keyboard, which chooses the closest enemy to the mouse pointer within a maximum radius.
First person to love the rocket launcher the most :D And yes, the pistol is a little weak in comparison, but hey that's what pistols are :D
Mouse and keyboard, so guess that means I doubly fail XD
Then you are not good at aiming I guess :D
Very smooth and slick looking. Fun to play too!
Really liked it a lot! Feels good to one hit enemies by a sword :D Check mine out too if you want!

Sword bro :D Best weapon in the game.
I will check out your game later. Maybe not today because I want to play the games from all the people who gave feedback and they are stacking up very fast :D
No problem dude :D
Nice style. I like that neon glow thing! Kinda strategie within, what weapon first at the beginning of a wave :D Nice work!
Thank you very much. That neon glow was thanks to the new version of Unity :D
Yeah, there is a lot of strategy involved in this game actually :D I always aim for having a sword at the beginning of the wave and then slice through the most annoying wave to make my live easier.
This is exactly what I meant! :D Sword is OP!
OP but risky :D
Fun game, I really liked the dash+sword combo! Great art too :)
Thank you very much.
The dash+sword combo is also my favorite. A little tricky because you are very likely to get damaged, but you are invulnerable during the dash. The combo feels even better when playing with a gamepad. (Press Esc/P to change the settings) Unfortunately, there was no time to implement the aim assist for gamepad...
Nice arcade game with really smooth controls. You polished your game well for a game jam, congrats!
Thank you.
Yeah, I did little to no polish for my last two game jam entries, so I went all in for this one. It's not the main focus of the GMTK jam to have a polished game, but this way you can enjoy the game even more :D
The game feels great, nice weapon and enemy setup!
I like all the effects, particles, variety of weapons. It's punchy and fun :D
Thank you, we planned to have more weapons, but the time... I think you know the issue :D
Fantastic! Really enjoyed this one! One suggestion would be instead of a single screen a little environment to run around would have been cool. But all the same, great game feel, great concept great job!
We had something in mind for the room, but the restricted time prevented us from doing it. You can also see it the other way around, because we ONLY have ONE room. So double the theme used. This would mean 10 stars for the theme category :D
Super juicy, good job!
Thank you very much.
How many waves did you survive?
I will try your game after work.
The game's juicy and fun to play! I enjoyed it.
Yeah, a lot of time went into making it juice, because I like it juicy :D
I like that you enjoyed it. I will give your game a try after work.
This if fun and pretty well executed :)
Thank you very much. How many waves did you survive? :D
8 or 9 !
