I might work on this more until one month after its release. I've got another crazy project to do. Feedback however is appreciated.  A lot of time was spent playtesting. If you encounter any bugs let me know!

The game resemble the very first idea which I had at the beginnig of the jam. It's well made. Nonetheless, enemies start shooting too early and the arena is too small to have some kind of tactics. Anyway, keep trying.

Well done, love the effects and screenshake. It feels pretty polished.

It took me a few tries to get the hang of it, but once I did I was able to survive for a little while and rack up a decent score. It has that 'one more try' feel especially since it's so easy to hop back into another attempt.

My only suggestion would be to make it so enemies wait a second to shoot once they've spawned. It feels a bit unfair when an enemy spawns and shoots me before I have time to react.

Thanks for the feedback. I was trying to stimulate a bullet coming out of nowhere so you would always stay at your feet. This definitely made the game harder though  =)

the actuall shooting seems to be hitscan, but the bullet still takes time to travel. This makes it feel wierd and wrong. Also, the enemies tend to shoot from ofscreen, although this might be cause i'm playing with 3:4 aspect ratio. Apart from that, i love the way it looks and feels.

I (think) I replied to another person with the same issue. The speed of the bullet was a bug found at the last moment so I couldn't fix it. Would take too much time. The enemies do shoot off screen. Since i wanted to stimulate a bullet suddenly targeting you. The bullets that come from nowhere are still easy to dodge when I play tested.  Thanks for the rating and review! =)

Nice game! I'll just add that the aim assist thing that you added was a good idea (even if you were going for a harder game), you might know this, but usually designers/developers add secret aid mechanics in their games to make them feel fair, even if the odds are stacked on the player's side.  Here's a good video by Extra Credits that goes into further detail if you're interested (and even intentionally challenging games do this often, for example Celeste's harder parts). That's why we test stuff beyond even bugs, and let me tell you that you're on the right path.  Good job!

Thank you so much! I play-tested the game a lot and figured most people wouldn't be able to beat harder enemies. (Enemies get harder and spawn quicker over time).  A hidden aim assist was the only thing I could think of. Thanks for the review =)

fast paced.  almost too fast probably, the enemies bullets are hard to dodge when they spawn very close to you, its almost unfair.  also they seem to die when your bullet is nowhere near them.  also could have used a description that you got your shot back as long as you hit an enemy but were unarmed if you missed, maybe have your shot come back if you miss, but make it take longer so you have to dodge for a bit

Yeah , Its too fast-paced , but it also gives you the feeling of rush which i wanted =). The enemy death thing , That has to do with the Aim Assist I  implemented. For most normal people The game was  too hard , so Aim assist was required. I wanted the enemies to INsta kill if you were AFK for even a second hence the 'fast pace' Obviously if you are near the enemies the bullet is going to hit you right away. I didnt mention for people to stay in the middle cause I wanted them to figure it out themselves =)

Fun and smooth control, but the enemy died before the bullet hit it, feels a bit strange

I really like the effects, it feels punchy :D I think it would be nice if the enemies only started shooting when they appeared in the player's field of vision. Good job !

Very happy after finally getting a kill without a mouse. Liked the crisp fast passed controls and the way ammo is shown.
