This game have very nice atmosphere

Having one weapon and only one enemy is a great idea and I liked how you used the TF2 heavy lol.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, but what did you mean by "you used the TF2 heavy"?

Submitted

The main idea with one boss and one life came up well, the control of the character himself seemed somewhat not informative.
But overall a good job!

I do not understand why he did not die, health going to minus, but he still shooting me! :D

Developer

Shit. The boss didn't die? Guess there's a huge bug that we couldn't catch...

Thanks for the feedback though!

I’m not sure that I understood correctly what is happening, but from what I can comment on: I would think about movement of the character. The player is as if weightless. The jump is too light and the run is very fast.

(1 edit)

It's playable, the design is not so bad, I played for 10-15 minutes. Maybe the boss was too hard, but I can't imagine anyone killing him really, it gets boring quickly. I died on the mines too fast and if there was some sort of radar with them it would have been easier. Or if you could shoot them.

Developer

We were about to do that, but there was no time left...

Thanks for the feedback!

Base idea is there and I kinda like fighting in an epic standoff battle against an overwhelmingly powerful boss but the mechanics need to be worked on.  Dying constantly and respawning at random locations is very disorienting.  The  Charge weapon button wasn't working for me for some reason.  These are the main things that bother me,  but other than that you made quite a lot given the short amount of time you've had to complete this.  Well done!

Developer

You have to hold down the charge button of a long time, and there is no SFX for that, so if you hold it down for enough time, a huge projectile will spawn there...

Thanks for the feedback!

I really like the general idea - it feels very epic. There's some really big problems that hamper the fun, though: it's too hard to tell what's going on and I usually have no idea why I died. The character keeps moving a good amount of time after you let go of the movement keys, which is especially troublesome because you need all the precision you can get when one-shot can kill you. And although you can shoot the incoming barrel-bullets to destroy them, the mines that quickly litter the battlefield can't be destroyed by any means I found - so the game becomes nearly impossible the longer it goes.

Developer

Yeah, I found that out after I have play-tested it later, will improve on that!

Thanks for the feedback!

Nice game, you managed to fit a lot of "Only One"s in there lol

Developer

Thanks!

It's clear that the idea was too ambitious for the 48 hour jam. The game feels just unfinished even for a game jam. But it's a good start to creating a bigger game.

Developer

Yeah, I realised that halfway through the Jam...

Thanks for the feedback!

I was a bit confused by the direction of my bullets, like it should have been more straight when it's shot, it feel like it's a bit lagging behind.

Also maybe a bit more info on what to do? Like I died I didn't even know why.

Otherwise it's a nice concept!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Your only objective is to kill the boss.

Your cause of death must be because of the mine-rain by the boss.

Thanks for the feedback, tho!

It was fun, but a little bit confusing. I like how high you can jump and I also like the sound effects and music. I can see this as a co-op game if you added more people who attacked the boss. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks!

At the beginning I was confused and didn't know what was going. After that it was quite alright.

Developer

Thanks!

Even after reading the description, I found the game quite confusing... 1 2 and 3 didn't look like they did anything. The game also didn't run well at all on my computer, but that's on me. I'm not the biggest FPS fan so I suck at aiming, lol.

Submitted

I don't feel like it would be fair to rate this game since I couldn't play it very well because of my computer.

Developer

What do you mean they didn't do anything? They didn't function as intended?

Submitted

They did absolutely nothing, no sound, no effect...

Developer

Well uh, no one has complained about them till now! 1 shoots bullets rapidly, 2 charges up a larger, more damaging bullet and yeah, I forgot that 3 got remapped to RMB, sorry! Making changes to these controls in the Game's page, try again maybe?

Submitted

Lots of polish on quite a complex set up! Nice job. :)

Developer

Thanks!

The game is nice, and the concept is interesting. It needs a little more time of develop and the game can be great. At first the controls were a bit clunky and i coudn't know why i died all the time, but there were the mines hahaha. With a bit of pulish it can be very good :D

It's a bit of spam, but as i didn't submit the game myself the submitted tag doesn't appear on my name, so here it is our game, if you wanna give it a try, Thanks :D

Nice work! Keep improving :)

Developer(+1)

Sure! I'll try it by tomorrow, if possible!

Submitted

Just a little more time and you had a nice boss-fight-level! Beat the boss to -100 HP and start to catch all mines, haha. Its cool, but just a real death and endscreen! Maybe you can add it and spent some patch for it ;) Nice work!

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, will sure patch it up after the jam is done!

Submitted

It looks good, it hits the premise pretty well and the controls are fairly solid - the only thing I'd say is that the game gets kinda samey after a while? Ultimately it's just looking up at the sky and pulling the trigger, which kinda loses its lustre after a little while and means the player isn't really looking at the cool environment work you've done which looks really cool. Maybe have the enemy move around at different levels of the Y axis too so that there's more opportunity to check out the things you've made.

Also for the future, it might be worth implementing a cooldown period after the player dies, just because I found I got stuck in loops of respawning a few times in a row.

Developer(+1)

Well, that was left till the end, and we eventually forgot to add the death screen functionality, even though there was a death screen...

The AI was also left for the end, so we hurried it a bit...
Thanks for your review!

Amazing art and a great concept. Nice job!

446 MB looks pretty scary, but it looks good and a quality game.

Due to infinite lifes and the enemy's HP staying where it was, it does not really feel like "1 life" more like a glitch, every time you get killed.  But I understand that a lot of effort went into the mechanics, so I will still give it a rating.

Developer

Thanks, but actually the "mines" mechanic was added in the last second to the game...
Before that though, I thought just respawning the player instead of reloading the scene would cut the loading screen's time...
Thanks for the rating!
