Original one dimension game with great mechanics like the line shrinking. There's no real challenge though because when you die you respawn immediately at the same location.
Thank you! Yeah, I guess I might've made it a bit on the easy side. Wasn't too confident about the project going in, so I figured if I couldn't make it good I could at least make it short
This is awesome! Loved discovering the many ways you found to obstruct progress on the one dimension and all the tools you provide to get around them - particularly the timing challenges that come with the narrow tunnels!
I did find the consecutive tunnels pretty challenging though - maybe some indicator of where they're going to spawn (maybe with a dotted outline or something?) could alleviate this somewhat? That way you'd only have to worry about the timing and not also be required to remember where the tunnels start and end!
Regardless, very nice job!!
Thanks for the helpful advice, I'm really glad you liked the game! For whatever reason I didn't even think to replace the tunnels with a faded image or dotted line when they disappear, definitely going to make a note of that for the future. Thanks again for suggesting that, one of the best tips I've gotten so far!
One of my favourites now. It is very original and its minimalistic look really helps.
Thanks! Fun fact, the particle effects I did for this were a last minute addition, had three extra hours left after finishing the levels so I wanted to do something to make the game look just a touch nicer
You really exploited the one dimension concept to the end.
Be it backtracking from the positives to the negative, or shrinking the scale of the axis, there are so many nice ideas thrown at the player! I think you did a splendid job exploiting the concept's potential.
It's a shame you don't have more ratings.
Oh dang, thanks! I'm really glad you liked it, I didn't have quite as much time to work on the levels and think through the design so I wasn't too sure how well that turned out. And yeah, I kinda wish I had more time to get the game out there and play other people's games too (honestly I was woefully unprepared to join a game jam)
simple, fun but challenging. 👍
the games was unique, challenging and fun. i give it a 9 out of 10
it's clever, and neat. It's too hard
Gets really hard at parts
