Bouncing and vfx is so good. Mb I would like to player's movement be a little bit smoothly, but overall it is fine.

Argh, firing that bullet feels so good! Bouncing it off multiple enemies then sweeping in to grab it before it stops is awesome. Great job here!

If there was a higher score tab I could go on playing for hours, simple, with clever mechanics, and the minimalistic graphics allow you to read well the possible bounces.

That was a really cool game! It took me about half the game to figure out a comfortable way to use the keyboard (Left hand on the arrow keys and right on the trackpad is not it LOL), but once I figured it out I had a lot of fun!

nice one! Played a few iterations of this same game idea, but your execution is the best so far.
The ball feels very bouncy due to the stretching and easing in the movement. The art style is very elegant. very polished. loved to play this game. you definetly deserve more ratings! :)

Loved it!! Awesome Idea... good music... nice aesthetics... only thing i find it missing is that only if you could add teleportation mechanics with right click to the bullet position itself... Also, you can try lerp to add curve motion of enemies advancing towards players... Also, rather than keyboard input...mouse based character follow movement will make it simple fast paced mouse based game.. Rated! Much respect

Like the art style and the juicy effects in it.
I think the enmey should be more aggressive. They are now moving slow and turning extremely slow. I know that might be ensure that the player can pick up the bullet he throw. But low pace is toxic to a top-down shotter I think.
I checked another one-bullet top-down shotter earlier, he add teleport to the bullet to slove this design problem. I think that is a good solution. Maybe you should check this out.

I disagree about the enemies. This game is more about getting your combos off than combat. Enemies chasing directly after you would cause them to bunch up and do the combos for you. And adding automatic return or teleporting to the bullet would fundamentally change the game. You lose out on the depth of trying to position the bounce just right to get the quick return. Also, enemies can get in the way of you and you walking back to your bullet, so there's that.
Solid input Darn. My game does need a lot of tweaking and balancing to get it to feel just right. But you are correct that it is about combos vs combat. I've been working on it and the combos are a little easier to pull off and infinitely more satisfying. I've added some variety to the enemies too. Maybe when it's ready I could send you a playtest version for you to critique? Cheers!

The juice you got with that minimalistic graphics is pretty damn good, the feeling when you shoot, and its bounce over the enemies is really fantastic.
Tha only think I think you can improve from the game without adding things is the score screen, it feels empty, like rushed. But it's nothing important.

Great game, best one I've played and rated so far. Must say, that I am a 'mechanics-junkie' type of gamer, so this is right up my alley.
The game has a complete core loop, including screens, score, timer, death, etc. The mechanics all play nicely into this, as there is more score for combo's, touching an enemy is time penalty, etc. Feedback is excellent too, as the sound and animation of the ball shooting is very pleasurable, and enemies have a nice knockback an pop on hit. The ball powers up as you hit more enemies, which makes for a nice escalation of gameplay, and the enemy spawn rate seemed sufficient to keep enough "entropy" in the gameplay. After 30secs of playing you figure out the shoot + catch tactic works well, which raises the skill level of the game, nice game dynamics at play here..
Some ideas for further improvement:
- make enemies and objects round, so the ball does not bounce of in strange angles but is more predictable like billiards.
- dual stick controls (as a console gamer I hate mouse-based aiming relative to my avatar's position)
- enemy types that further extend target prioritisation like +10sec enemies, extending that 'only-couple-secs left' feel
Hiscore 30100, but feel I could go higher if I practice..

You have some great suggestions and will definitely work on those. I've wanted to add those in too but it's really hard with the time constraints of a jam. I'll probably dabble on this some more and if it gets really exciting I might re-release on it's own when it's nicely polished.

yeah the 48 hour time constraint is tough.. I feel adding enemy types and a little escalation (more enemies, bosses, etc) is good bang for buck. Doesnt cost too much time to build and gives gameplay variation...
