Cool game, I like the way you used the theme! Especially funny with the "cop" towers. Well done!
This is the funniest game of the jam !
my reactions :
- oh ok, they go away when they're curious, fair enough
- oh, the cop ones can help me when several are curious, that's cool
- crap, they can become zealous, just stop man !
- no no ! what is this dissident crap ?! my towers are harming me !
- stop shooting, cop, you make them angry ! ...wait no ! Don't look at me like that..! I'm your creator, i-
Now i understand why the player has a lifebar XD
More variety in the enemies would be good, fast ones for example.
Would be cool to have different towers and I also think in the beginning the game is a bit to easy. At the end my game got stuck and i couldn't play anymore.
Yeah, extra towers were planned, and when I go back to developing this I do plan to add them. Sorry to hear you got stuck - there's a lot of ways that can happen unfortunately. Thanks for the feedback!
Cool idea and charming style, nice game!
Nice tower defence with a nice twist to fit the theme !
Nice job! The game idea was really good and the gameplay was really fun. Well done! :D
This is a really fun idea! It's kind of funny how the towers look like... just towers, but they want to see the world.
I think some music would've been nice? There's a lot of good choices in opengameart if making music isn't your thing. That being said, I'm just personally biased towards music.
The standard towers are very cute! And it seems to run just fine, I feel like tower defense games have a lot more to do compared to other types of games, so it's impressive you managed to so much in such a short amount of time. Great job!
I don't really like tower defense games, but this one was funny and well executed. Good Job!
Cool twist on tower defence! :D Funny how you worry not only about enemies. Art looks a little basic though. But overall quite nice :)
Slapping the towers to keep them in line was too funny actually! Good idea, but it seems the money given is too generous, as i had the screen half filled with the things and just spent time slapping my towers :p! Super enjoyable though!
It's only today that I've had time to play the game properly for myself, and I absolutely agree about the money. The balance is a mess all over the place, and it's partly a symptom of the limited number of towers. In a future version of the game I hope to be able to make the challenge and balance a little more fun. Thanks for playing!
Lovely idea, I love the personality they evolve. Kinda cute.
Btw google chrome seems to predict a virus in the download file. You maybe wanna fix that because I can imagine that a few potential players will be restistant to install it :D
Overall: Keep going! Great job!
My team ending up making a very similar game, We both even used "T" based alteration titles. I really liked that you add personality to the towers with dialog.
Thanks for the feedback. The dialogue boxes were a very late addition, since I had planned to have more animation than I ended up with. Your team's game looks really interesting! It's nice that we seem to have taken the same basic idea and gone at it from totally different angles. I'll play it as soon as I can.
This is a really neat little game! I love your story, it makes for a really neat twist to the genre.
I'm beyond relieved to hear that the story comes across. It was a very stressful final hour for me, and I will definitely continue developing this after the judging is over.
