You managed to take a simple idea and showcase it brilianntly with well crafted levels. The only part I don't like is how sometimes you can't tell what the max and min water levels were, so there was a bit of trial and error, maybe you could have some UI on the left side that shows the player where the max and min would be? With that, and a little tightening of the player controls, this would be a professinal level game.

This is incredibly good! It's rare to see jam games with such good level design.

I'm super curious as to how much of the artwork and audio was created during the jam.

My only complaint is that the physics are a little janky and inconsistent, sometimes I would bump into a wall at the wrong angle and lose my velocity.

I enjoyed this one.  There are a few too many instant kill obstacles for my taste (just touching the bottom of the screen making you restart is a little much).  The art and music are great, the levels are  pretty fun, and the central concept is explored very well.  Great job.

Really fun game ! ^^ The pixel-art is gorgeous ! :o

It's quite hard to make the water levels look nice, but this game did very well :D

Nothing else to say, excellent work !👍

I'm not sure it fits the theme, but this game is still a fun puzzle platformer, even if the last level is a huge pain. And I'm glad I didn't have to worry about the character drowning, as that would only make the levels even more difficult.

I have a soft spot for cute platformers like this. Had fun playing it, nicely done! :)

Nice game! Presentation is great. The level design was also generally very solid. I think as others said more checkpoints would be really great, some puzzles / challenges I got down to a T but had to repeat them because of harder later sections. You executed your concept very well though, I don't see how else you could improve it besides that. Great job!

Nice and fun game! But the water flow does not seem to be out of control, rather, it seems scripted... though it would be difficult to make it random in a platformer game as it would make the game very hard but you can try doing something with it in post jam version..

The concept is very good outside of the jam theme... You can make a nice platformer with it.

Suggestions

 - Make it so the pressing 'enter' also clicks the button, not just 'space bar'.

- The animations seems to have a problem in transition, the animation gets stuck at one point and keeps switching between one frame to other very fast, though it is not much noticable but worth looking in at and fixing.

Great Job!

A lot of variety with the obstacles, good for a platformer. I'd like to say it's hard but i'm just bad at the game.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Definitely it lacks more balance on the difficulty

Challanging plattformer with water physics which feel on point.

This was a really fun experience! I can see other people share the same idea I had, that being for checkpoints, but honestly I had a great time regardless! It's fun and challenging, and I definitely want to play more after the jam!

Edit: Another thing I noticed was the character kind of vibrates when against something or at the top of the water, but that can easily be polished away post-jam!

Thanks for playing, the feedback is highly appreciated!

An overall well thought out game. The levels could be frustrating sometimes with their being no mid way save point but apart from that it had a fun mechanic. Good job :].

Thanks!

Really fun little platformer,   Animation while swiming could use a bit of work but other than that it's really well polished and setup.   Really enjoyed it.

Developer

Thanks for the advice!

Cool idea, it was fun. Checkpoints would be nice!

I love the concept for the game. I found I was getting frustrated after trying a few different things and needing to replay the entirety of the levels over again if I made a mistake. Personally I would have liked to have a checkpoint after each section in a level, in the manner of Celeste. Overall I did have a lot of fun, and this is definitely a game I would enjoy playing a full feature of!
