Wow! We had incredibly similar ideas :D

Your game is much prettier than mine though

"hey i'm walking here!" *walks directly into laser*

This is so cute and so much fun! The levels are really well designed and the art is absolutely FANTASTIC! Great job guys!!!!

Hilarious, really liked it! Although there was a lot of deaths which happened off-screen or because the camera moved and the laser moved with it, straight into a poor co-worker. :(

The presentation on this one is really good! Cute characters+art and some good music as well. The gameplay is pretty addictive and fits the jam theme good. Keep up the awesome work!

Hey hey! Great minds think alike, I also made an involuntary shooter game ;)

I really l liked the game, the theme and atmosphere was hilarious. Lasers from an allergic reaction? That's absolutely amazing! And your coworkers are hilarious, especially how most of them seem to be like "oh it's just Harold back at it with the lasers again."

The gameplay really sets up for a bunch of interesting challenges. Having to dodge around people, and use tables for cover? Sounds like something from a normal shooter game, only you've turned the genre on its head and you're NOT supposed to shoot people. Love it!

The issues I had with your game are basically the same ones I had with my game so I can't really complain too much, but here they are nonetheless:

1. When you begin, sometimes your laser can hit someone instantly because your mouse was in the wrong place. Maybe put the player in a safer spot to begin? Or click to start? I dunno, just a thought.
2. The camera is a little hard sometimes, since you can't see who it's hitting and sometimes it shifts your aim. I know you're already fixing that so I don't know why I put that :P

Anyway, great game! The art and polish is amazing, apart from my little gripes it really feels like a fleshed out game that looks pretty professional. Good work! :)

...and if you guys could look at my game too that would be great ;)

Wow! The art and music is great! The character are super cute and I definitely see myself playing this game in a full version! Great job!

Cool concept. Definitely would like to see this explored further. Good job.

A fresh game after playing more than 50 games. feels buggy sometimes, camera and laser distance. One of the best game overall

Fantastic sprite work, and the mechanic is a really nice and inventive take on the theme.

It took me a while to realize that some of the levels were cut off until I went into full screen, and sometimes it felt like I was running into invisible objects and was having trouble progressing, but with more than 48 hours, I could totally see this being something to sink hours into. Well done.

I will say, on a completely unrelated note, I've never played any twin stick shooters before, so the mouse as laser beam felt a little unwieldy at times. Since this is more of a puzzler and at least with the stuff I got through not seeming too fast paced, I would love the option to control the laser with the arrow keys, but you know, this is small potatoes.

Really really great work here. Congrats! :-)

Great entry, love the art style, story, and music was *fire emoji* super funky fresh. My only complaint is that the camera moves sometimes as you move around the scene which in turn changes you mouse position relative to your player often making you aim in directions you didn't want to.

Great game :) Impressive what you have done in just 48 hours. It happened a couple of times that I killed someone the moment I entered a room, but overall you did an amazing job with this game.

I've seen a couple games so far with the uncontrollable shooting and avoiding damagable obstacles, and I must say this is the nicest one. Though, the laser can sometimes move a bit predictably due to how sensitive it is to mouse movement.

Despite some of the other issues here (which others have already pointed out), this is such a well done game, and probably my favorite that I've seen so far. I had fun the whole way through, and I particularly enjoy how there's a few different ways you could solve a specific room. The level of polish is also really nice, from how cohesive (and funny) the story is, to the little dialogue you'd get from all the characters.

I would definitely play a full version of this game. Really great job!

Wow, thats a great game! Fits the theme perfectly and lots of fun. I like that some rooms have multiple solutions. I love the character designs!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Yeah the multiple solutions room are getting a lot of positive comments. I think we'll make them a more regular/core thing on the game. Glad you like it :D

I really really loved the soundtrack.  The mechanic is present in many other games on the jam but it's very well done right here. Very fun and difficult and well implemented, congrats to all the team!
