Hey~ I enjoyed this game, its an interesting concept. I wish the game conveyed why I didn't gain someone's reputation; maybe its a random chance? It can get impossible to continue. But its an interesting concept!
I dug the style, and the overlay effect was nice! Good work!
Art and music are on point, especially the music! The small bit of dialogue at the start was also really funny "LOOK AT THAT".
I left my computer for a bit and came back to soooo many people, I couldn't even choose who to aim for, my high score was 34508.
thanks for the feedback! damn, my highscore was 3k, well done!
The visuals are great and the game is really atmospheric. My main criticism is that I'd like to understand more when you can and can't control people since it is currently a bit confusing, but this can easily be fixed. Great work!
I love the art and 3c is good implemented ! nice music to, a really good entry for a first jam great job
Bwehehe, thanks! I did the art :)
Really digging the aesthetics you went for, fun little game with an interesting core mechanic, could use with just a line or two more explanation inside the game for how the system works point/control wise, but, otherwise quite entertaining. Great work!
Fun game with a unique take on the theme. I like the system of reputation and how the score works based off it. Its awesome to see some Gatod games that look so good, makes me really wanna pick it up for myself!
overall great execution, you've earned yourself a follower!
Nice visuals. I didn't understand how the score above each character worked before I looked at other comments. (Because I didn't read the game page *facepalm*) After realizing how that worked, it seemed like there weren't enough smaller valued people for me to build up my rep. Maybe I was just getting unlucky. It would be fun, however, to walk around with a mob of people.
It seemed like most of the time I was trying to be in-control instead of out-of-control, so it didn't seem very centered on the theme, but I do see where you were coming from.
Nice job!
Great Entry ! The aesthetics were really nice and the audio was right on spot. The core concept is really fun and would be even more fun with a bit more depth. On a side note two small details that I noted , it would be nice to have a "quick respawn" option once we lose to play again without the intro text. The intro text was also a bit quick and could either be slower or wait for player click to move.
Overall a pretty nice idea in the theme, and a great realisation in 48h ! Great job
Aesthetics were great! I wonder, what does the points over the characters mean?
Thanks for the comment! It shows how much reputation the player gets if he successfully captures the character, also how devastating it would be if he fails to capture the character! This way, a good strategy is to try and capture the ones with less points to build up reputation. Once you have max rep, you have a 60% chance of getting the massive point boosting characters which will give you tons of points! when you're in max rep you also get double points per second
Love the CRT filter and aesthetic. I think that a little bit more depth to the mechanics would be good, like maybe three characteristics that improve chances of influencing different types of people, and more ways to increase these characteristics.
thanks for the feedback! this was precisely what I planned to do, but due to technical issues, I was delayed by 3 hours, in which I could have implemented all that. But oh well, its a jam, what can you do? :-p
505 is my top score baby!
Lovely lil game, really enjoyed the music and visuals. It was tough to tell when to push my luck and try for some higher up reputation folks, and often when I did I would fail. Might have been cool to have a little more insight into how likely it is to succeed when taking a shot. Or maybe how far away the shot was taken could give you some extra chance (trick shot buff, haha).
But overall cool concept and great aesthetic!
A little more depth in the system for whether you can control someone, and a little more transparency about that system, and this could be a nice time waster. I like the risk-and-reward of different characters being tougher to control but giving more points. Definitely polish it up and make a full version.
Thanks for the feedback!
The interface of shooting people with little bullets seemed confusing to me though I love the idea of trying to choose your targets carefully and building a reputation but I wasn't sure how the systems actually work
I wasn't entirely sure what the point of the game was, even after reading the description page. There isn't a win condition as far as I can tell, and you can just never lose by not shooting anybody; your score goes up regardless of how many followers you have.
I was able to clip through walls in one place.
The shaders(?) and/or effects were neat. Music was good.
Thanks for the feedback! It was meant to be an idle-like game where you build up as many followers and control as many people as possible! Of course you can just not shoot anybody, and you wouldn't necessarily lose, but since the objective is to gain points and by doing that you need to maintain a high reputation, you have to start taking some risks!
