Neat game, I see I wasnt the only one that went for a fire theme 😅
Absolutely awesome. I love this game. The puzzle aspect was good the level design was great and it is a very good and original take on the theme. I had a bunch of fun trying to figure out the puzzles. And i thought that the final sandbox level was a great way to end the theme lol. Amazing job.
Cool game! I think it might be more fun if it was faster or more real-time, and might allow for some cool visual chaos in addition to the puzzley out of control fires. Good job!
Thank you! Given the time we'd definitely want to speed it up a bit, and make the fire even more out of control to add to the fun. Thanks for playing and reviewing.
Really fun puzzle game. Some speed up function would be nice but the idea was really cool. On the last level, I accidentally clicked the menu button and so I had to play through everything again, haha. Good work!
Thank you for playing! That's another vote for a speed-up function, or just making the fire faster in general. That's definitely something we would improve. Sorry you had to play through all the levels again -- we wanted to do a level selector but didn't have time in the end.
Like the concept, but I had a couple of instances where I thought I completed the level, but it would then say I burned my house down. If there was a way to speed up the post game bit to show where where it burns down rather than just saying "You failed" it would be more helpful to the player.
Thank you for reviewing! Yeah, that's basically a bug where you can first "succeed" and then it will still fail the level if the fire reaches a house before you click the next level button. We should maybe have required the fire to burn out before confirming success to avoid that.
Good job, I enjoyed playing that. Nice idea for a puzzle game here! As a couple of people said already a way to speed up the fire spreading would make the trial and error part of problem solving less frustrating in the longer levels. A way to move or delete placed objects would probably help a lot too, but over all nicely done!
Thanks for playing and reviewing! Yeah, speeding up the fire would be the top tweak we should have done.
cool little game, despite burning so much forest! Guitar matches the sadness of it
a smart way of managing levels would be cool.
Addictive puzzles tho
Thanks for reviewing! Yeah, we ended up being quite rushed getting the levels in at the end.
It's a fun concept, playing with the idea of cellular automata is very appropriate for this theme. Maybe a button allowing to fast track time would be helpful.
Thank you! Yeah, it would be great to let the player control the speed, or step through it at the pace they want.
I agree that I wish the fire spread quicker. I think that wold increase the satisfaction of watching your plan unfold by like 10. I had a good time with this, but I couldn't figure out out to get the ice cube to work :/
Thanks for playing! Yeah, we should tweak the fire to be a little bit faster to speed up the game. Sorry that the ice cube was tricky -- did you try placing it on a corner between two burnable tiles? It should stop the fire spreading around a corner like that.
Cool and fun puzzle game. I like the take on the theme. I enjoyed the art, but the fire spread maybe a little too slowly. I liked it a lot!
Thank you for playing! Agreed on the fire being a little slow, that's the first thing we should tweak.
