As time moves on in the game the obstacles, collectables, and scenery get more and more out of control. Also, Jazz is out of control all on it's own.

This is a really cool and addicting game! Love the music that raises pitch, it really feels like the stage is getting more and more crazy and the controls are really perfect. Good Job!
Thank you! We are glad you enjoyed it!
it's not the most original gameplay idea but it's really quite fun to play. Somehow you got one of the most satisfying feeling jumps i've encountered. The movement feels really nice in general but i would love to know how you achieved that jump feel.
Thanks! It was our take on an admittedly common type of gameplay. But we are glad to hear you liked the control so much. We knew that would be important to stand out from the other games like this. I have no problem explaining some of our mechanics to you if you are really interested.
I have to go to bed in a minute but yea please add me on discord, i'd love to ask you about that jump some time. space#3748
Sound, style, fun, and crispy controls! The sax sound effects are hilarious and the difficulty curve is on point, I'm really impressed how this came out!!
Glad to hear it! What’s your high score?
My high score was 83!
Good job with this - solid concept with polished execution.
I think one of the challenges that comes with implementing super tight controls, as you have here, is how to overcome that within the context of the game's challenge. Ultimately, I think the escalation in frequency of adversarial elements is the right choice in this case.
Thank you! That was a very well worded comment and I appreciate you taking the time to play our game!
Nice job! I really liked the environment and gameplay! Well done. :D
Thanks! Glad you liked it and happy you took the time to play it.
That was a lot of fun. The whole jazz aesthetic fits the theme very well, and it was hectic to avoid everything. Great job.
I’m glad you liked it! I hope it was a fun hectic and not just overwhelming. Thanks for playing it!
Great job. The sax player hopping around on stage fits his character. Everything is well put together.
Thanks! That’s really good to hear.
This is a super fun game and the art is good and the music fits really well. Also really good controls
Thank you, that is really great to hear!
The presentation of this game was great. It started out nice and easily so that I could learn the controls but definitely got a lot more out of control as the time went on. The music really added to it, especially with the megalovania riff in the middle. This was a really polished game for this length of game jam.
Thank you! We are glad you liked it. It's good to hear that you liked the difficulty curve, it was one thing we knew was important to get right.
Very interesting! I thought you presented your idea really well.
I appreciate that! Thanks for taking the time to play it.
Sure gets chaotic quick! Just a couple suggestions for a post jam version, persistent audio so you can keep listening to the song longer if you suck at the game (like me) would be nice with such a good soundtrack, and maybe unlocking different cosmetic characters/instruments based on your high score would be fun. I'd love to get to unlock a trumpet or trombone and get a song with that as the solo instrument. Overall super fun!
Thanks! Those are some really good ideas. This would be fun to add more to after the Jam.
Love the jazz theme! And it's def. super fun. I must say though, I'm not thrilled with the fact that you have to run an installer to play it though.
Thanks, I'm glad you thought it was fun! And I agree honestly. Ideally we wanted it available in browser, but we were inexperienced/limited on time and couldn't get it to work.
Very fun!! Good controls, and good presentation.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.
Hah! Tons of fun. The music, art, and sound design were ON POINT. very polished end result. I challenge anyone to beat my highscore of 107
>:D
Thanks! I'm super glad you liked it. Great job on the high score, it must have been pretty hectic by the end!
I liked this little arcade jump-em-up! I got to 49, so I don't know if any other obstacles start coming in, but I think there's some great potential to really get wild with what comes flying at the player. Maybe also give them a (slow, recharging) jazz blast that lets them have control over when they clear the screen, could give players just a bit more fleeting agency in an increasingly desperate situation.
Great job overall!
Thanks so much! You have some great ideas, some of which we thought about but didn't have time for. Thank you for the helpful feedback and for playing our game!
Nice pixel art, love the sound effects in it! The jump sometimes feels a bit weird like I didn't have full control over the direction, but great job! Solid work :)
Thank you! Do you mean the height of the jump was hard to predict, or moving side to side in the air? Or was it the recoil from hitting the drums that was too much? Thanks for playing!
No sometimes when I was facing to one side (example left) and jumped followed by movement to the opposite direction (right) you didn't have any velocity on the jump, so it felt weird :D Not a big problem though:)
Got ya, we will take a look at it. Thank you for the feedback!
The art is great. Controls are smooth, and it has good curve of out-of-control-ness!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
I got 59! I really enjoyed the aesthetic and the difficulty curve made the game feel very fun to play. I am not sure how the "smash tomatoes" mechanic works but other than that the game is very entertaining.
Nice score, glad you enjoyed it! The "destroy tomatoes" mechanic just destroys all tomatoes on screen to give you a small break. That has a chance to happen every time you get 10 notes.
I got up to 64 but got the stupidest grin when I realized what the song was. What a really solid game all around, tight controls and engaging obstacles!
Thanks! Super glad to hear that you liked it!
Current high score is 74. Can you beat it?! What did you get?
