It's a pretty nice tower defence where you can't control what type of tower to build, and all towers out of control at all. The problem is in difficulty curve. At the beginning the game is harder than in the end, it's because at the start you give player pretty spongy enemies. Additionally, the most formidable enemies can drop more coins. Also, it's bad that I can't say how many HP an enemy has at the moment. Anyway, pretty nice work, well done.

There is a BLACK HOLE disrupting and cause defense towers to malfunction and be placed randomly! Also your ship's main cannon is on the fritz and shooting wacky. It's all OUT OF CONTROL~

I love the game so far, here's my suggestion:
- The story/tutorial dosen't need to be show to the player everytime they start a run, add a way to skip it, and/or maybe move it even before the menù appears...
- Show the range of the turrets, so that the player can cover zones that the turret dosen't cover
- Add some upgrades to the tower (maybe even for the ship), and let the player choose if they want a new low level turret, or if they want to upgrade an already existing one
- When the player has bought enough turrets the game it's basically playing itsely, because all the turrets do the job for the player
- For resolving the previous point maybe don't let the turrets target flying enemys, add multiple layers, or even add some enemys that go off the trial and destroys the turrets
- Two turrets can place sometimes in the same place... i don't have to say why this is bad...
- Stop the player when they shoot (or increase the stopping time it you already stopping it), you just can shoot an enemy mid-range, get an assured shot because the enemy is walking torward you, move it a little to not get hit, and repeat until is dead
- Some combination of enemys, sometimes, feel like they're unbalanced...
- Talking about enemys, add some feedback for when an enemy is hit...
- When the enemys hurt the the ship, the player dosen't get enough invicibility and/or knockback, and lines of enemys can, for this reason, lock the player in place, possibly forever...
- Now for a thing that dosen't regard the game at all... Having some gifs is certainly a good thing to do and have, but add some normal pictures too... (this point is extracted form your devlog 😗)
fun premise, and i like the mixing of two different genres! a little easy for me personally, but overall a fun lil jam game :)
I've got to say I don't like tower defence. Strangely You made it that You took control from the player to... give him more control? This arcade version is very awesome, I like it:D
Though, I have to say the game is pretty easy, and it basically plays itself.... I know there was not enough time, though I think it would be better if player could have different cooldowned weapons, like bombs, rockets, etc. Or make something stranger like aliens having armor. Tower can't destroy armor - but You can. That way both of those gameplays matter.
My play was shooting everything in the beginning, lazly shooting everything later, and in the end only collecting coins, towers destroyed everything. But I guess its just balance thing...
Awesome! I really liked the combination of tower defence and top-down shooter - I wasn't expecting it at first but it quickly clicked into place. Loved the devlog too!
Great graphics and sound design. The gameplay felt a little slow, but I think you could add some more variety of enemies and levels to help make it more engaging.
Yo’, LFJ Templar here, very interesting take on tower defence, the flappy gun is hilarious, but deals little damage, so it misses a lot on long distances, but even if it hits, it’s not really that much, this could be balanced a little.
Graphics and audio were nice, but the gameplay felt a little slow to me in the beginning. Well done.

The lack of reliability on the tower placement and the ship canon are great wrinkles to the gameplay. I think a win turned out to be more achievable than I had anticipated when I first started up, but I respect making a game balanced and beatable in the time window available.
My only real complaint is that I wish the ship were a little more distinct, particularly against the grey path - though that actually might just be a problem with my eyes
Great graphic and diverse enemy design. Although some feedback on enemies getting hit would be nice, like flashing white, knockback or a health bar. Also can't help but wonder if it would be more chaotic and out of control if the bullet from your tower actually damages you as well so it also turns into a bullet-hell late-game.
But overall, it's a great game and I had a lot of fun playing it.
I liked the spread on the gun, it made me get up close to the enimies which increased the risk of getting hit
This is a super fun game, scored 8200. An amazing idea very well executed. And the polish, just wow. The animations, particle effects, the glow, the pixel art, the music... Very well done
P.S: I see the parallax now, the secret was adding lots of layers, thx ^^

Ah, having shmup mechanics along with tower defence does give greater insentive to participate in the game more! That's interesting.
The game vibes feel fantastic, music and art are very pleasant and fitting. I had a problem with a slow and malfunctioning gun, this part of the game felt slightly frustrating instead of adding to the gameplay for me. Nonetheless, it is a very well-executed game and it's unbelievable how much you were able to do in such a tiny time period!
I scored 6550 points. Is It a good one? not sure. Game is really fun to play. I like the art style too.
