Neat take on the theme :3 We also made a shooter with weapons that fire on their own but we took different approaches. Nice to see that the same basic idea can lead to two different games :D
Thank you for playing! <3
I'll make sure to check out yours as well. :)
The more you play, the sillier the game get. I laugh so hard on that rubber gun.
<3!
The concept isn't too original but the upgrades do make up for that, the atmosphere was great though. The sensitivity was also really really high and there was no option to change that, but I guess that means it adds to the theme? It also felt like you had to find then enemies rather than vice versa and other people have commented on that too.
Hey glad you liked it!
I'm not sure about the sensitivity, i've had a few people try the game and that didn't seem an issue, but in this case i guess it ends up being a feature. x)
Had a lot of fun using the recoil to run backwards faster. The camera kept clipping into the geometry though so id go blind for a second.
Hey glad you enjoyed it! <3
You're right on the camera clipping issue, i ran out of time before i could fix it. :)
I like the presentation but overall I felt that the lack of control of the gun had little downside as it was constantly firing and there was no ammo to worry about. Perhaps add some recoil that the player can attempt to manage when actually attempting to shoot an enemy, or perhaps add things you don't want to shoot so that you have to actually manage the fact that you're constantly spraying bullets.
Hey thank you for playing and thank you for the feedback!
There are a number of negative upgrades, one makes you shoot grenades that can harm you, another makes your barrel rubbery and floppy (causing the gun to fire very inaccurately when moving) so after a few waves not killing yourself (or staying alive depending on the upgrades you're given) can be tricky. :)
I got super annoyed at the constant gun sfx blaring into my ears. Couldn't really tell if the explosions felt fine or just did not make it worse.
And that one, last enemy that seemed to be hiding every single round always turned this from a shoot-em-up into hide-and-seek for a bit.
But other than that it was really good! I still had a lot of fun showering hordes of enemies with grenades. Not sure which of concept, art style, and music was my favorite part.
Hey thank you for playing, i'm glad you liked it!
Your criticism is spot on, especially regarding the last enemy being hard to find. I was planning to add a compass to show where the last enemy is but the deadline was quite tight. ^.^
Big fan of the art style and music! Awesome job creating all the audio yourself, we made our own music this year but didn't have the nerve or time to make our own sound fx lol.
Firing of the gun, especially the grenade is super satisfying too, just wish there was more feedback on the enemy's death!
Hey thank you for playing, glad you liked it! <3
Agreed on enemy death feedback, unfortunately that was a time-related constraint, the deadline was tight! :)
That's fair, there was a lot more I wanted to do too but I started really late and couldn't. Although I think your game could translate well into a full title with some polish!
Really cool idea, the art style is also quite pleasing :) I could really see this being expanded into a proper game.
There is a bug with walking right up to some the boxes allowing you to see inside of them, if you decide to continue you might want to look into that.
Thank you for playing and thanks for the kind words! <3
Thank you for the bug report. It's something we encountered while testing as well but we couldn't find a solution quick enough. :3
is good

I like the idea of having no control over your gun or upgrades you get, you have to adapt to the situation and dodge your own projectiles in some cases, good job!
Thank you for playing, i'm glad you liked it! :)
