Interesting idea and nice gameplay, definitely feels out of control
Thanks for playing!
Great idea, but I did find it clunky to play. The minimalist retro vibes work well too, generally I think with slightly more permissive physics I could have a blast!
Thanks for the feedback!
Nice game, I liked the idea, I just think that the control mapping could me a little better... Maybe using 12QW, or something like that, to let us see more easily which button activates which motor.
That sound like a great idea! I will be adding a key bind feature afterthe jam.
Lots of fun, as others mentioned, 1-4 is kinda awkard, maybe qwas or numpad?
Im glad you enjoyed it! I will fix the controls with a key bind function after the jam.
It's a cool concept. The art is ok, but it would be better if it's not blurred. The control of 4 engines is a good idea, but sometimes i feel like it's not doing what it's supposed to do. In one occasion, i turn the BL thruster to cancel the rotation, but instead it when sideways faster. I think it would be better if you only turn one thruster, then it will only affect the rotation of the ship. I know it's not realistic, but i think it would make the controls more intuitive. Overall, good game.
Im new to pixel art and for some reason when I importied it into to unity it blurred. Although thanks for the feedback, I hope you enjoyed it.
The idea is original, I love it! Like everyone says the control are hard and are not intuitive, something like W,A,S,D or a visual representation in-game would have helped, but overall good job !
Thanks so much for the feedback!
Nice job! I like the overall aesthetic, with the art and UI, etc. Definitely fits the theme for sure. I agree with a below comment about making the keys not in a line but instead 4 corners of a square. It was really hard to move around and accomplish much. Maybe shooting could be mouse based so you can shoot in any direction and then the challenge is moving and getting the fuel. But who knows, good job!
IM glad you liked it! Thanks so much for the feedback, and ideas, I will be sure to use them in future games and maybe even implement them into Uncontrolled burn after the jam!
Very simple and efficient. Maybe try to make the control scheme closer to where the thrusters are? Like use Q for upper left, W for upper right, A for lower left and S for lower right. That way I feel like it would be a bit less confusing!
I never thought about that thanks so much! I might add in a key binding system once the game jam is over!
Definitely on theme, though I would say it's a little too out of control and I didn't feel like I could play the game really. Well done UI though!
Thanks so much for the feed back! Simulating real physics while making it playable is hard.
The game fits the theme very well, and it feels like you can lose control. The single looping screen is nice, and it's good that the world is not big, it really feels like the focus is regaining control.
I was heavily inspired by the asteroids. I'm glad you liked it!
I love the 4 different thrusters as controls! Fun game!
Thank you so much for playing!
Very quaint game I love the Asteroid feel. the 4 motors is a fun twist to it. Quite enjoyable game you got there.
Thanks so much im very happy you enjoyed it!
