Overall this game looks great, but I had difficulty playing it, even on easy. For me as someone who's played RTSes I found the select/order the opposite way around, and the zombies seem to attack too soon before I can get any units out & about. Additionally it's hard to distinguish recruitment houses from normal ones.

Like others, I think with a juicy layer of polish wrt controls, having some time before the zombies appear, and other touches, this could be really neat! I played something similar a while back by the fine folks at Blendo Games, maybe take a few cues from what they did 👍

Thanks for ur feedback! We know that balance is bad, but i  think that so thing from this game that u linked will destroy our style, so we gonna balance it in another way. For example smaller cities and easier recruitment, we will send first part right after jam's end so u can check this later!

No worries, it's just the curse of a jam - something has to give. But I find that if the takeaway is "I just need to tweak some variables, but the core thing is alright" that's a pretty good jam 👍 Looking forward to the update!

Awesome game! While it still needs some polishing and balancing like the devs mentioned, it has a lot of potential :) Only the recruitment mechanic I found to be very annoying micromanaging. Good for a game where you have to wait often. But I already need all my focus on controlling the few units I have, leaving me no time to recruit new units. Maybe just make a possibility to fasten up the recruitment process, if you still want to have the focus on recruiting, but add some sort of auto generating recruits. But I’ll definitely follow the updates of this game :)

Thanks for Your feedback! We know that we have a lot of problems with balancing but we finished gameplay 4 minuts before a deadline.  We know that cities are too big and its not quite nice to play around it. We gonna remaster this project to fix those miastakes, but stacking troops is still overpowered stratedy. You can check our discord where we will post dev logs so you will up to date on it!

Really good game, could make use of some music, and interactive tutorial would be nice, but considering it was done in 2 days, it's amazing

Wow this was a lot for one weekend! So I really like that it fits the theme on two fronts: You have to control the infection from spreading and you have to control your units. I found it really hard though, especially since it seems very death-spirally (Though that fits the mechanic I spose). The micromanagement was also pretty intense but I think my colourblindness+tiredness didn't help with the scanning across the map efficiently. Overal though this is a seriously good entry with a solid idea and execution (Especially for the massive scope of RTS mechanics!) So congrats!

Thank you! We are happy that you liked it! The balancing is indeed out of shape, sadly we spent too much time trying to get my PC to run 6000 zombies at 60fps (this code is a mess, oh my) and we slept... That was a mistake...

Anyways, we plan to give it a proper balancing run now, with a tiny hope for a proper remake/cleanup, so you can check back in a while  ;)
Alternatively I've been persuaded that we should have a discord, so here it is: https://discord.gg/ma6UsQu

Additionally I will try to find some colourblindness filters, we have a lot of colors that have meaning and also ones that don't, so I can see why this could be a serious problem!

Hahaha such bravery- I commend thee!

I'm not much of a Discord user so will pass and just check back- but ty for looking into balencing and colorblind options!

What an AMAZING concept! This is an incredibly good looking game, that actually makes me smile with the way the game play works. I am terrible at it, every blockade I try to make seems to fail. My cities are growing in infection far to quickly... but my god what a cool game.

If you wouldn't mind checking out my game, i would appreciate it.

Developer

Thanks! But you aren't terrible at it! It's just that we failed to balance the game in time (the gameplay was finished roughly 1 hour before deadline, while we still had some crucial bugs to fix), which is mainly because this project was too large for us two to complete in 48 hours and perhaps because I slept for a little too long... Luckily, we had enough time to verify that you could indeed somehow win easy mode without a hack of sorts, so atleast that I can guarantee... But hey, the topic was out of control, so I guess we got it right :D

We will probably balance it in a few days from now, and maybe give it a proper cleanup, so you can check back in a while!
And apparently we have a discord now, you can join it here: https://discord.gg/ma6UsQu
