Nice job! Would have like a bit more guidance on what to do, took me a while to understand how to interrogate folks. Impressive work for a jam!
thanks for playing! Great feedback!
Really cool idea, and I got it my first try! I wasn't quite sure what to do at first, but I figured it out kind of by accident - I had taken a picture and just happened to walk by one of the suspects. I also wasn't 100% sure I got it right my first try, so I had to play again and intentionally fail to see what the fail screen looked like. Maybe adding in the word "Congratulations" on the win screen would help. Great work!
yeah, idk why i choose such a muted celebration. Thanks for playing and the kind words. When you say "got it on the first try," did you mean you snapped 2 random pictures and ran to the door? Or you were able to deduce it? Just curious, thanks!
Oops, I mean I was able to deduce it! It would have been a miracle to snap the 2 pics correctly on the first try haha
thanks for responding! I was worried about leaving too many or too few clues. I think i left 1 too few, but it's nice to hear it was solvable!
Cool idea and execution! The voice acting is really good. ~ Do check mine and give your valueable feedback:D
thanks! And I'll do my best to, im about to go on a trip so im a bit pressed for time
I couldn’t figure it out… Really interesting/unique concept though =D
[EDIT: I mean I think I ran through all the possible combinations too and even that didn’t work for me]
thanks for playing! There's 24 possible combinations. I didn't want people to brute force it, but have to investigate. That being said, since it's a gam jam, i think i should have had more clues. I can tell you one item is a dead giveaway of character, and another item hints that it was the murder weapon, but if you show the right combo to the guilty person there will be a dead giveaway.
Ah, I gave it another shot and I guess I didn’t notice that the “game over” and “you won” looked basically the same. I was expecting it to do something else =D
Thanks for giving it another go! Yeah, that was a time constraint thing.
An interesting idea, the voice-over was a nice touch as well!
thanks!
Good game!
nice voiceovers 😂😂
thank you!! Haha
Cool idea and execution! The voice acting is really good. The only thing bothering me was the camera sound, it became annoying pretty fast haha. But other than that good job :)
Thank you! and I was a bit worried about that, but I was also worried about not signaling that a new picture was printing lol. oh well
Interesting Idea for the jam, good job!
thanks!
The voice acting was my favorite part
moving around and interrogating was fun and challenging (in a good way!)
If I had to find an issue
it would be between the animations and the camera casting a shadow (I only noticed this because I had the same issue a few games back) after I'd spent hours of searching
turned out in UE there's a check box on meshes called SELF SHADOW ONLY
which just fixed it.
Good luck and may money find it's way to you
great feedback, thank you! And a very good tip! Thanks for playing!
Really nice voice acting. I had fun in this little world. Nicely done!
Thanks so much!
This was a silly and fun little game. I wish there was a smidge more help with the evidence and what the suspects say but I solved it eventually so that's that. Aside from that, I don't think I have any complaints. Nice job!
Thanks you! I appreciate you playing to the end!
Interesting Take on the theme! The deadpan lines of the characters were really funny. Great submission!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for playing!
It's quite a big undertaking for a jam game, but you managed to pull it off nicely. Well done!
Thank you so much! I think unreal engine is a big reason why I could do it, since blueprints are so fast
they do be T - posing tho
Yeah, animations wasn't in the time budget. Originally they were just circles. Thanks for playing!
I'm fine with downloading jam games but 350mb? With all respects to the itch.io servers I managed to play 4 other games while downloading this one.
Now this game is actually quite good. Really enjoyed showing all photos to the suspects. The lines are great to listen to and funny. Especially "He never was good with a hammer, He never was good with a handsaw" gave me a good laugh. The take on the theme is original and its refreshing to see a first person game on a game jam.
I'm not sure how much can you reduce size of an unreal game, but its a shame that some people wont have enough patience to check it out.
thank you so much for playing and the kind feedback! I'll have to keep file size more in kind for next year.
Make sure your sound is on. Let me know what you think! Thanks for playing! I had a ton of fun making it.
