Pretty fun, but also hard lol. When I'm panicking it's hard to grab a new guy to join with. Probably best to play in full screen because if you click outside the game area it pauses and it really breaks your rhythm
I'm glad you had fun!
The initial concept was to make a fast paced shooter, so it's nice to hear that we kinda acomplished that!
It's still poorly balanced and needs more polish, but thank you for playing and giving your feedback!
Scored 36 ! Nice idea, definitely needs some polish, like juice (screenshake, recoil etc.) and the camera should relocate in the center of our two characters when we join an ennemy.
Thanks for the feedback!
Screenshake, recoil and that kinda of stuff would have been really helpful to make this game better, I linda of forgot about It during the 48 hours! Haha.
Centering the camera would also be really good and probably not that hard to implement, so thanks for that suggestion!
I'm glad you gave the game a try!
Pretty nice concept. I like the disposal of enemies by linking them and leaving them. Get's pretty intense reall fast haha! If you have time come check this out. https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2021/rate/1081258
Thank you for your feedback!
I'm glad you enjoyed the game, despite the poor balance, haha.
I haven't had much time to rate other games so far, but once I do, I'll make sure to play yours!
Joining together two games seems like a really fun concept!
Neat way to fit the theme, it's quite an interesting idea! Also, the art is cool. I find the enemies get overwhelming very fast, though.
Thanks for reaching out!
The game is poorly balanced(that's what happens when you make the most important mechanic in your game at 2 am haha)and we probably should have playtested it a bit more, we'll keep your feedback in mind on future projects and try to make them more enjoyable!
Cool "joined together" mechanic, haven't seen this yet. The background of the level made it really hard to play for more than 1 session.
Thanks for giving it a try!
We struggled a bit with the art due to time managing issues(it was probably my fault rahter than the artist's), but I'm glad you played it, even if only once!
Very unique use of theme. I haven't seen anything where people are linked up yet. Really well done. Also the main character design (and title screen) is very well designed. It is a little bit too difficult, for me at least and my poor playing skills. I'd maybe decrease the shot rate or travel distance of enemy bullets. It just makes it super hard to keep up with what's going on. Though it is a bullet hell game so I understand that!
Thank you for the feedback!
The game is definitely poorly balanced, and I'll take your suggestions into account if I ever decide to pick this project back up!
I'm glad you played it!
Fun! Would be cool to see more weapon types added for some variety.
My initial idea included 5 gun weapon types and a melee one, but I ended up not being able to implement them due to poor time management.
Thanks for the feedback and for playing the game!
A clever idea. I wish the enemy's hitbox didn't count as your own and you could use them as a human shield and weapon, as the bullet hell gets pretty crazy pretty quickly. Plenty of fun and has a lot of room for growth.
Thanks for the feedback!
I considered that as an option during development, but since I felt the theme wasn't really that present in the game I decided to also "join together" the hitboxes. That gave me more headache than it was worth and I thought about subtracting ammo rather than health when the enemy got hit, which I think would be way more fun, but it was already very late into the time limit and a lot of stuff needed work.
I'm happy you gave it a try and had some fun!
I wish it was easier to join with the enemies
Thanks for the feedback!
We will try to playtest a bit more in a future project to make sure things like this don't happen again.
I'm glad you decided to try the game out!
