I'm glad you had fun!
The initial concept was to make a fast paced shooter, so it's nice to hear that we kinda acomplished that!
It's still poorly balanced and needs more polish, but thank you for playing and giving your feedback!
Thanks for the feedback!
Screenshake, recoil and that kinda of stuff would have been really helpful to make this game better, I linda of forgot about It during the 48 hours! Haha.
Centering the camera would also be really good and probably not that hard to implement, so thanks for that suggestion!
I'm glad you gave the game a try!
Thanks for the feedback!
I considered that as an option during development, but since I felt the theme wasn't really that present in the game I decided to also "join together" the hitboxes. That gave me more headache than it was worth and I thought about subtracting ammo rather than health when the enemy got hit, which I think would be way more fun, but it was already very late into the time limit and a lot of stuff needed work.
I'm happy you gave it a try and had some fun!
Really good idea! It made for some really cool platforming and its really fun overall just to burn stuff, jump really high and all that, plus the music and art that made the experience really enjoyable. This was a lot of fun!
The only thing that bothered me a bit was how long it takes to restart once you die(since I did that a lot because im not that great at video games haha) but I think thats just a small thing and doesn't take away from the overall game.
Great job!
That was a really original take on the theme, I liked it! The art and sound designt really make you feel like you're travelling inside the human body, and the viruses are kinda crepy haha.
The only thing I would like changed is the movement speed, since it takes a while to walk through each room, but thats just a minor inconvenience, really great game overall" I wish I had played it before the jam ended.
This was my first time making all the art and music myself, and I had to rush some things because of the time limit, but I'll surely add more art(probably from an actual artist, not myself) if I ever decide to make this game a full release.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you decided to give the game a try.
I had a ton of fun with this one. The mechanics are very well implemented and I could spend a good while just jumping around with the cute slime dude. The music gets repetitive after a while and the background can blend in with the platforms sometimes but those are minor things, the game is still a very enjoyable experience and implements the theme in a clever and fun way. Great job!
This was really nice!
Despite encountering some of the problems other people mentioned, it was sill a lot of fun to explore around the map and see al the nice art, listen to the music and just jump around. The only thing I think would have made this a better experience would be an indicator of how much heat the egg has been exposed too, but then again the jam is so short and this is not a very impactful thing so it doesnt make the experience less enjoyable.
This is a very good basis to expand upon without the limited time of a jam. I'd definitely consider even buying this as a commercial game if you guys decide to develop a full project out of this.
I really liked the game! the mechanics are fun and the game is challenging enough to keep you trying but not frustrated. However, I ended up softlocking myself on the second "fire" checkpoint with the two purple wall things, so I didn't finish the game.
Art, music, gameplay and design were really great overall, nice job!
Very fun to play, despite being so short. I played more rounds than I should have haha
One thing that I felt was weird is that the gifs on the itch page had a screenshake while using the laser, which iI think is a really great addition, but the game didnt have it. Maybe its on the windows build, I didnt try it so can't tell.
Great experience with a lot of polish, great game! looking forward to the full version!
Took me a while to try this game since it is a downloadable project insteead of a webgl one(I know 3d is kinda weird in the browser so it makes sense) but im glad I decided to play it.
The puzzle design is great and felt really satisfying, especially the last 2 where you need to use another blocks as barriers .
The problems I encountered were that the music stops after a while and int he third puzzle the red sphere block has ice behavior despite being presented as a fire one.
Had a lot of fun, awesome game!
The level design in this is great! Having everything work out was very satisfying.
Music and art were great.
As far as controls go, the only thing that annoyed me was that you cant change direction just by pressing another button, you have to let go of the button you were pressing before. This isnt really a problem, but it feels weird to me because all the games I remember playing with this type of ice sliding mechanic(mainly pokemon) weren't that way, so my muscle memory kinda got in the way.
Besides that and the sfx being a bit too loud compared to the (great)music, I had a lot of fun!
Good job!
This looks great!
to the design of the little guy to the ground tiles, all the art is really good, and so is the music! although the background was a bit too pixelated but that might just be a problem with my resolution.
besides having accelarating into walls stop your vertical momentum (can be solved in unity by adding a collider with no friction on the side of the wall) and the moving platform not move the player alongside it, the mechanics are very fun.
I'd love to play an expanded version of this not limited by the jam time limit.
Thanks for the feedback!
I'll be looking into the wall hugging thing and definitely changing how slippery the movement is, since when playtesting I noticed there are some segments on which you only have 1 block to stand on, and having to restart because of that can be pretty frustrating, but I didnt want to risk remaking the movement script so close to the deadline.
I'm glad you liked it regardless!
