This game really hooked me! The atmosphere is really well executed! Well done 😁
There was a strange debug window near the end, I was so into the game that I still don't know if this was on purpose or not 😅 Really liked it, thanks for the experience!
Interesting concept, very different from others.
I tried to keep it as unique as possible. game jams are opportunities to make games that would never sell or work normally, so I could go as out there as I wanted. hence why the story and concepts are so weird. thanks for the review!!!
Pretty interesting, the narrative is so good! I don't know why but I had to scroll every time to see the text and map since the screen was so small, because of this it was really hard to understand where I was. Despite that the experience is very good, I really enjoy lovecraftian stories.
I'll try and make it larger; that's almost certainly a bug. you might be able to zoom in, but I'm not sure. thanks for the review!
got a debug window when i tried to enter the center of the map, some wierd bulian with the spider is what it said
that's definitely a bug with the light/portal ending; but congrats, not many people got that one. I'll try and fix it when the jam ends. thanks for the review though!!
That's so fucking cool! I love the atmosphere and how it forces you to imagine the situations. That's how Lovecraftian games should be made, an unspeakable, undescriptible horror can't be just a sprite, it should live in your imaginations as it does in the books.
I've always found that Lovecraftian horror games overexplains things. once you name the god, you're less scared of it. once you show it or explain exactly what happened, then it leaves nothing to theorise about. I don't think I executed the not explaining things perfectly, but thanks for the review!!
Nice storytelling. Felt the atmosphere you were going for. I think i accidentally looped it one point.
thanks! how did you loop it? I might have to fix that...
The use of music and affected text was quite cool, and exploring the space is interesting. It's awesome seeing other twine games in the jam, good job!
your game is cool too. twine gang!
the music was made by me, but about half of it was made in advance.
The music was great! Twine gang!!! :D
I haven't come across a game even remotely similar to this during the rating process so far. The story is amazing and the atmosphere created is one of lingering suspense and anticipation. This is such a cool game and I highly recommend it!
thanks so so soo much!
I liked how the different text styles were used to add some effect to the game.
Interesting narrative.
thanks! the story itself was written first, but differentiating between the gods/beings was difficult. that's why I added the text styles.
