Jeremy needs to support more indie devs. Better games and theyre even cheaper

I didn't know there was a bug like that. But actually it makes sense as it may be a problem with the configuration of root motion & the animations. Thank you for mentioning it I'll put it in the known bug list :D Hope it was fun nonetheless haha.

Thats a clever solution! Is it based off the original ghost AI?

Great idea! The AI is really good at chasing you down. How'd you do the pathfinding?

Really well put together, clever little puzzle game! Well done :D

A really well rounded submission. Controls felt snappy and responsive, great feedback from inputs (loved the screenshakes & audio), levels were fun, mechanics were solid and looked great too. Well done!

Thankyou :D

A Really well put-together submission! The change from hunting to being hunted was a genuinely terrifying experience hah. Great job!

Thank you! Am still adventuring through programming AI and had implemented a slightly clunky Utility AI system. It'll improve with practice I suppose and am grateful that you have all played it :)

Great aesthetics and a really ambitious project with a clever idea. I would say that audio needed a bit of balancing and it would have been really helpful to be able to change the sensitivity.

Its such a good premise for a game and it has so much potential. Am sorry you didn't have time to fully build it out but it's impressive for the amount of time you had regardless.

Amazing aesthetic, satisfying & addicting gameplay and a really good spin on a classic game. Great submission!

Thanks for playing! I really wish I had more time to add more functionality to combat but sadly I was a one-man team and hence only had time for rudimentary combat logic & AI; I knew repetitive input sequences would affect the AI adversely but alas no time to give it more variety.  Nonetheless hope you enjoyed :)

A really nice idea for a game and I wish you guys had more time to develop it further. I think it has lots of potential, and was an ambitious undertaking for such a small amount of time. I struggled to find some ingredients required to brew potions and an introduction stage would have been really helpful.

Amazing presentation of a unique idea :D Love the rooting in norse mythology and the game was really challenging. Well done!

Great submission!

Got a score of 44508 :D Fun little game!

A really clever spin on a dungeon game, great job!

A really great aesthetic & you've clearly worked hard on the atmosphere. Well done!

A really creative idea and a well designed puzzle game :D A great submission, well done!

(1 edit)

This sounds like such a hilarious concept. Am sorry you didn't manage to upload it in time.

A great aesthetic and fun game! The music slaps.

what an anthem

A really cool idea!

The unexpected spin on the trolley problem I didn't know my day needed.

Really well produced idea! The AI is surprisingly good as well :D

Thank you! I was inspired by deadcells in how they do their rendering of 3D characters & animations to 2D pixel art.

A really good implementation of a well thought out idea. A simple premise but one you've designed perfectly. Well done! I wish I had more tiles to play around with, I feel like I get really unlucky hah.

Thanks! I wish I had more time to work on the AI but wanted time to polish other things first.

Thank you for playing!

I hope you enjoyed playing my submission to this Game Jam. If you did, please do leave a rating here: https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2023/rate/2160070 :)

I look forward to seeing it then :)

This is amazing! The game mechanic of drawing the platforms freehand is genius and you've executed it perfectly. I wish the game was longer because there's so much potential there. This deserves many more ratings and I'm sure this submission is going to do very well indeed.

A good spin on the traditional tower defence game! Nice work.

A really great idea and executed well :D Took a bit to get a hang of learning the motion of the player and placing the blocks, but each level was fun and challenging so I enjoyed playing. Only criticism would be that I wish I could see the trajectory of the player in some way / understand its range so that I could ration the blocks better. Well done!

This was brilliant. I am sure this is going to be the most creative submission in the Jam. You handled the introduction to mechanics as well as the context given really well. The controls became intuitive and the puzzles were engaging, the dialogue was hilarious and a great commentary on game development in places. Well done!

A really nice idea! Loved playing as the dragon and theres an impressive sense of progression with upgrades for a game made in such little time. Only criticism is that the controls can feel slightly unwieldy and sometimes I felt at a loss for what was going on, but otherwise good job :)

Enjoy the opportunity to dedicate your existence (for 5 minutes) to making Jeremy miserable.

Thank you for playing!

This game has a great atmosphere and I like the direction in which the idea was taken. The voice acting is well done and the mechanics were interesting to discover. The portal-esque opening video was hilarious. Well polished and I hope you continue to refine it and add some more to it after the Jam!

A really well polished and designed submission! The atmosphere was created really well, the sound design was perfect for the environment and the aesthetics worked well. The core mechanic was unique and really interesting to learn to use.
