Great job for the first day! Though not really appealing visually, but the gameplay feels very funny! Reminded me of "Get over it.." or "Flappy bird" even :D
The game doesn’t look that good, but it’s really fun to play. The mechanics are nicely implemented and they are pretty unique.
Game-play is fantastic for a first game, great job!
Left me with a big smile on my face :) absolutely love the game and the graphics, super charming all around
A polished up version of the controls could elevate it to a really great place. But personally I'd be even more interested in a version that feels the same, but has much lower stakes, possibly one that's more exploration focused than arcade-y.
I love this concept, great job! this game could easily be turned into a great mobile time pass :)
You think? I guess there's no harm in trying!
Good evening, great job on your first game there. I love the concept of 2 different forces moving the fish. It provides a certain challenge and some practice to steer the fishing in an appropriate manner but once you manage to move navigate more precise you gain some speed and it gets fun. Considering this is your first GameJam submission this becomes even more special and you can be proud of that. Art + programming is quite some effort and neither seemed to lack some major features and there were no bigger bugs that I found. I didn't get why the first worm was thrown in the opposite direction of where you have to go, starting closer to the incoming wall would have been better I believe but that is just some minor complaint I found. Last but not least, the entire level could have been a bit more wider to make it a little bit more easy but that is no mayor problem and nothing I can really complain about. Well done and good luck with future projects :)
Thank you for the feedback! This is all very exciting for me and good luck to you too.
(In case you were wondering, the first worm bit is mainly because I didn't feel like making the scripts not do that and figured that a worm should be thrown at the start anyways to show the player what happens but having it go in the opposite direction is admittedly frustrating)
I actually really love this, very good concept. Would only recommend making the rocks a bit smoother for the fish to slide over. Great job!
I'm glad you like it! This is my first game, and the rocks just have the default Unity physic material so that is a great suggestion.
