Cool game ! The concept was really nice and the game itself is polished =) ! The music is cool and I must admit that the boss music, even with its asiatic vibes (that were a bit out of place for a game about robots ?), was a banger for me.
The levels were either too long or lacked a timer to tell the player how much time was remaining. I almost quit near the end of the first level because I thought it was just an endless single-level.
Good job =) !
We plan to change the level length and add a timer as soon as uploads are turned back on lol Glad you stuck with it!
We didn’t have time to make another boss song so I just threw one in there I’d made a few months ago, I’ve since made a new one that we’ll put in the final build, but if you’d like a link to the current song on my Google Drive, just hit me up.
Thanks again for playing and for the feedback, we really appreciate it!
This is a deceptively simple game. The dual controls, and the various different rounds are both really fun. The one comment I would make is that I think the first round lasts a little too long. The rounds after it are where things start getting fun, the first round lasts a long while, and is not nearly as interesting. Other than that, it was pretty good!
Glad you enjoyed it!
We definitely agree on the long first level and we plan on changing it in the final build. Thanks for the input!
Fun take on the theme! Shared health is a great complement to a split-attention game, and I particularly liked the asymmetric round (one side dodging a bullet-hell while the other's on healing duty).
It seems like playing either half of this game wouldn't be all that interesting, but playing both together instantly makes it challenging and fun. Excellent music, too.
nice work! real challenging too and is probably a great exercise for the brain.
Really cool game! Really hard game! Impressive for a three-man team!
Ps: thanks for checking out our game Don't Leave Me Hanging!
Really fun and challenging to keep your focus split across the two characters. The sprites were cute and the music was bangin. Good job!
We really enjoy the challenge of trying to focus on two characters at once. Fun difficulty and a catchy tune in the background. Nice game!
Was fun, the two controls at once was quite challenging!
Yeah, we kinda realized that we made it pretty unforgiving. I think the plan is to update it after the jam to give people at least a better chance during the turret phase. Thanks for playing!
good job. Really nice to play with two people!
Amazing game thats it!
Fun little game! Even singleplayer, it was great to play through. I had a lot of fun trying to balance between the two bots. My only critique would be that sometimes the levels felt a bit too long. Overall great game :)
It's actually supposed to be single player. AMB1 and D3X-TR, "ambidextrous". And yeah, the team decided shortly after submitting that the rounds were a little too long.. I appreciate the feedback
This is a good game to play with a friend, but even on your own it is fun to try and keep track of both sides and stay alive!
Dig the game! Art is nice and the music fits the theme. I'll be sure to give this a go with a friend when I get the shot
When you said this game was challenging you were not lying! Got to round 6, and had a lot of fun doing it. It is interesting how my playstyle had to change with the evolution of the levels, from lackadaisical orb collecting to focusing on dodging the 3209 bullets coming after me and THEN worrying about maybe getting an orb or two. My favourite level type was undoubtedly the one with the spinning thingy that shoots bullets in a circular pattern -- it was so hard! It would have been cool to have an ending screen where AMB1 and D3X-TR met though, every time I had time between stages I just put them as close together as possible to hang out </3
Also, the "combat" music is capital G Good, though sadly there were a couple moments where the sound volume fucked up and peaked and I had to turn it down.
Anyway, loved the used of both arrow key and WASD. A great use of the theme, which is always a plus. Great game overall :)
It is escalated quickly. From 2 bullet to bullet hell. Controlling two characters at the same time adds and extra flavour to the genre in my opinion.
Nice game! I got to level 4, but at what cost? I have a crippling addiction to this game now, my friends are concerned and my loved ones have all but left me. I like the green robot.
This game was really fun and difficult. I only made it to round 4, but it was still a great experience. I loved the music and art for the game. The way I had to play differently each round was also very cool. Great game!
Thanks! We weren't really sure what to expect from out first jam, but we're pretty happy with the end product. It nice to hear that other people are too!
really cool music :)
This is awesome. Good job, guys!
