I would like to point out a few bugs to anyone who's wanting to play;
- Running on a low FPS will cause the train to slow down, making gameplay exponentially easier/ slow/ boring!
- The enemy vehicles scale up over time, unfortunately I forgot to flush the time data between rounds, so after a few playthroughs you may come to find the enemies are impossible to defeat! To avoid this, you have to restart the game each time (sorry)
- Not a bug but sorry for the contribution to RSI in your clicking finger... Post jam I will make it only 1 click to destroy the gems!
Hey! I like your game, it's pretty addictive and found myself sitting through playing the whole thing even though it takes a while. I think the biggest thing what was also mentioned before, is some more feedback on things! The plants could have a sparkle or something when they are ready for harvest, the ground tiles could get darker the more "watered" they are, and maybe some basic sounds when placing, clicking and harvesting could be nice. I also totally didnt notice/ forgot often about the whole beanstalk mechanic. Perhaps this could have been placed in the world somewhere more central so it visually remains the key focus? I could see where the pollution mechanic would have come in, shame it didn't make the cut! Overall, nice game it has potential! :)
Thank you for your comment and playing the game! :)
I'm sorry that it seems the brakes were stuck on your train 😭I think you hit the nail, I didn't account for low fps so the train moves via the game delta time, which on a slow computer would make things, well, slow. Post-jam I will look into using something more reliable for major game events, thank you for testing on your laptop!
Cute game, I wish there was some snapping on the buy and sell areas and some better feedback when I've actually bought or sold something. I like the concept though, it would be cool if there was some obvious way to distinguish how much a character will buy an item for (like a dog monster would want the bone more than any other vendor)!
