This game was awesome and had great polish on it!! The mechanics felt clean and responsive and the gameplay felt very good! Love the concept and the execution of the idea was 10/10! Great Job!

That's an awesome mechanic idea! Great job :D

Really cool concept, I really like the way the tutorial naturally shifts into the first level. The merging sound effect had me positively in tears. I really appreciate the level design also, merging asymmetric and symmetric levels really makes you think and catches you of guard. The only minor critique I have is that maybe it would be nice if the orbs being joined together had some repercussions? I found that stages could easily be completed by simply remaining merged through the entire playthrough.

Very nice job all together though <3

Wow, great work on this!  The concept is fun and unique, and the lettering is really nice too!  The audio, visuals, the tutorial -- it is all very well done!

I found myself staying in the joined state as much as possible because it was too risky to separate sometimes.  Consider adding some sort of system that really encourages joining and splitting apart :)

Thanks! You hit the nail on the head with the joined state. I'm planning on having it timed, as well as making it so that you can add more time by splitting and collecting the orange hexagons.

I had fun and like concept! It was challenging to not mix up directions and do the opposite of what I wanted. Although I did figure out I could hug the left or right wall and never get hit. Maybe adding a score system or requiring the player to break the shapes would make it even better

Nice idea, but the best strategy is to stay joined together all the time. Maybe make something that there´s a reason to stay apart. I hope the feedback helped you, would be nice if you would check out my submission too. :)

Thanks for the feedback! Played your game. The feedback is definitely helpful, I agree!

Very nice game and cool SFX! The tutorial made it easy to understand everything, though I found the best strategy is to just stay joined together all the time. It was pretty fun, I feel like it you could have maybe made it a bit more difficult, overall great work all around! If you have the time, please also rate my entry, Project Marble!

Absolutely great controls, felt nice. sound effects were gross but didn't really affect my view. My biggest thing was that switching into 2 things isn't encouraged very well...

Good game, though quite hard to get the hang of. Was a bit difficult to see the game on my monitor. Found it was possible to stay joined for a long time and avoid all spiky blocks. Art and SFX are great!

clever premise, I don't think I'll ever really get the hang of it due to my own ineptitude.
the screen did not resize to my browser and I had to zoom quite far out just to understand what I was looking at (chrome)

Hey Buckwheat_Pancake! Thanks for playing! I set the default resolution to be 1920x1080, probably a mistake in hindsight. The game is also pretty hard without much of a difficulty ramp so it's partially on the game for being too difficult

Nice game, well made. The only thing is there is no incentive to joined and merge together, i passed the game joined all the time cause was easier. You have a really nice mechanic.

Developer

I was toying around with the idea of having the joined together mode being timed, and you gain time by collecting the orange hex shapes and charging it. I will definitely be sure to try that out after the jam, thanks for the feedback!

Very nice execution. Sound design is on par and the gameplay flows nicely. The only thing missing is a counter for points, because right now for me grabbing all points didn't have a feedback and I wasn't incentivised. Nice job!

Developer(+1)

I agree! I have a point system for the phases and decided to hide it from the player, for some reason. But it definitely would have been better to show the player their score. I'm glad you like the sound design, it's minimal but I'm pleased with it.

Very original idea. I would like to see more of it.

Developer

Thank you! I'd like to make more of it.
